May.

 May 1st

Trip out today with Paul's IA group to the Stonebow/Guildhall in town. This where council meeting are held, and anything to do with the Mayor. A lot of olds things, swords and past ceremonial gowns are also displayed there. This trip was very interesting. I did a bit of shopping in town then home for a while.

I had my B12 injection later, This was not too bad this time but, as usual they all sting.

3rd

Today I am cleaning up downstairs, Chest still painful but it needed doing I held my chest when I could and did a bit then sat down a bit then more till all done. My ribs clicks when I move side to side so not painful but makes me jump.

Chinese for tea quite late as Paul was asleep. Good and worth waiting for.

4th

A lot colder than it has bean on the common I actually felt cold. Luna has not had her little jacket on for a while now but I think even she noticed the difference today. She runs around all the time so I do not think she was cold.

5th

A good walk with Luna on the common, her running around as usual chasing the birds.

Another cold start to the day- 12C at noon, bit different to last week when 22C in the afternoon, and very windy too. Two lots of washing so that's good should dry well. Was going to do the bedrooms, but my chest feels very sore.

6th

Not done too much today chest still very sore. My Dad used to say it's a getting better pain after a few days. I know its a different pain to the last few weeks hopefully he is right.

I have finished off Corey-James's jacket and hat set.

I am very pleased with the jacket I put eight buttons on as I think the gaps with four are too big and gape open. I was very surprised to see how much buttons have gone up. I have lots of baby cardigan ones but not this type. I used to put on the toggle type but these have gone up to at least sixty pence each depending on size. Not too bad if you only need four or less, but expensive if you need eight like I did. This is for his Birthday on Friday.

This is "Feed me Dinosaur" talking and very cute, I would have bean quite pleased to keep it for myself.

Play food to go with his cooker that he has at his house. We still have one here that his Dad and Uncle Tommy-Lee, and Auntie Jamie-Lee used to play with.

Went to The Range to get some compost, seeds, and feed, plus a few other bits.

8th

Another cleaning day it took most of the day. Chest still tight and sore but not as many of those spasms now. These were bad as my chest clicked and jumped this made me jump as well.

Andrew has bean in the garden most of the day tidying and setting seeds looks good. Well done Andrew. Still a bit more to do but he did a lot today.

9th

Not a good night pain and more pain. I went to sleep laid on my right side, good for my chest. About an hour later I woke with knee pain and hip pain. Chest was ok, so I changed position, laid on my back. A little later pain in chest. How do I sleep?

Paul is taking Lindsay my daughter, and Jamie-Lee my granddaughter to the coast for the weekend.

I am looking after Andy's cat Smudge for the week while he is on holiday.

11th

Changed the bedding today dried well. Even ironed them later. Felt quite good today so did a bit in the garden. Just light stuff, weeding and snipping here and there. I still felt quite good after so hopefully no extra pain later.

12 th

Going for our walk this morning, my knee locked up and I nearly fell over. Very sore. I can any day ring up, to see what I can have done for my knee, probably a steroid injection the same as my wrist. Plenty of time has passed after the injection in my wrist to have no side effects. I was told to leave a gap of at least three weeks be for the the doctors would even injected my knee, as can have side effects. Side affect's include swelling, pain, and skin pigmentation. Much the same as the injection but more intense.

14th

Going to Doncaster to day to a shopping outlet. We used to go here a few years ago. They were bargains to be had. I was not that impressed today. A lot of the things were like a good sale similar to what you would get in Lincoln. I did have my first Greggs meal a Tuna roll and cup of tea, Paul had the same but two large sausage rolls. I did buy a quilt cover for our bed. The price on the label said £70.00 reduced to £23.00, a Helena Springfield design from there designer shop. A god day and not too much pain none would be nice but I think that is nearly impossible- but you never know.

15th

I finished Luna' blanket to day, and she likes it.

A lot of hip pain, both sides very tight, I did the twisting exercise that we do at Pilates and it eased the pain a bit- plus some strong IBRU GEL.

16th

I washed the new quilt cover, it dried very soft, needs a good iron but hopefully that will get easier with a few more washes. Very pleased with it so far.

Going to see Corey-James, Molly, and Jay-Jay to give Corey his presents. Lindsay and Jamie-Lee are going too. Poor little lad when we got there he was not well, neither was Molly. Poor little Corey was very hot and looked quite ill. He went to bed and cooled down a bit but it was obvious he was not well. Molly does not panic like a lot of first time Mums, so was in control even though she was not well herself. He will have his present when he feels better he did open his jacket and just gave it to Jay-Jay. He then went back on his Mum's knee.
We had some of the food that Molly's Dad had done, and left soon after, to leave them both to rest. Get better soon both of you. Oh Jay-Jay was not ill so hopefully he will not get this bug or virus.

Wayne- (my oldest Son who lives at Halifax.) phoned up later and said he has problems with his eye he needs to have a lot of tests to find out what it is. All the best Wayne

17th

A sunny but cloudy day not cold 16C at2pm.

Cleaning up down stairs today hopefully next week up stairs will get done. The cleaning takes a lot longer than it used to and often causes me a lot of pain. My ribs still hurt as well especially when vacuuming. So do a bit, rest, do a bit more till its all done like I usually say and do. Hips are still sore but not as tight.

20th

Good walk on the common but a bit chilly strong wind.
Cleaned the fryer and watered the whole of the garden it's so dry as no rain for ages.
I ironed the new quilt cover and it did take a lot of going over but like I said I think it will get better as it feels softer still now.

21st

When Luna and I go for our morning walk we go through the park which is just across the road. The bins have not bean emptied for over two weeks probably nearer three now and with it being windy all the rubbish has bean blown out everywhere even to the common. There are dog poo bags around the bin open and poo all over the grass. The man from the council where else, ??? does not do his job. I have bean told he marks it done- but does not come anywhere near the bins. I have rung up, others have too. Oh yes- they will be emptied today. Guess what still the same, the next day. The children have bean on half term when they were overflowing. Soon to be half term again. Makes me mad as he will still be getting paid for doing nothing. I have bean told by another council worker he retires soon. No excuse he should do his job.

23rd

Carpet man here to day to do the  carpet hopefully. This has gone baggy and needs re stretching. I was told by a men from the carpet shop we would not need to remove the big cupboards and the crystals one. The carpet man said, he needs the room completely empty so he will come another day. There is a lot of trinkets and crystals in there all to be taken out by me I would say. I did  move a lot of the stuff out only to have to move it all back in the room again.

24rd

A rest day as quite tired and still a bit annoyed at having to take everything out the cupboards. Not that long since I had did it last November I think. Rained a bit later a cool feel after as well very nice.

25th

A very windy day mini greenhouse had fallen over and some of the seeds tray had come out. Not too much damage though. Nose bleed, so had to change the bedding. The new bedding that we got at Doncaster looks, I think very smart on.

What do you think?

Later I ironed all the washing I did, dried very fast very windy.

Guess what still no bins emptied-- rubbish all over the park again. Someone not me, had picked up all the rubbish on our way back from the common. A full Aldi shopping bag, and put it near another bin outside the park.

28th

Jenny here for a very quick visit bean to have her hair done. Dropped me off in town so that was a big help.
Dentist today I have had no problems so should be a good visit. Got a bit of shopping in town.

Dentist all good so back in six months. Bit more shopping then walked home. quite warm today and still windy.

30th

Bins still full.!!!???

Went with Paul to Morrisons to see about getting some Pyrex cook ware with all the tokens he has collected we got two. I also got two T shirts and some bedding plants. Andrew did get some last week so we have more than enough now. Hopefully the ones I set will also get growing, they will be late as still very small.

Jay-Jay,Molly and Corey-James came to see us in the afternoon. Corey is such a funny little boy jabbers away all the time some words understandable other not. He does little actions with his body and arms. He kept giving everyone sweets out the tub. We gave Molly her Birthday card with some money in as she does not what she would like. Have a good Birthday on Sunday.

Carpet man is coming back on Monday to sort it out so everything out the room again.

Well a mixed month this time. Warmer weather is on the way and lighter nights too. This seems to help RSD and all the other things. Hope you are all as well as you can be. Love Gill.
