October.

October 1st

Paul Sanded the walls, lots of dust. This should be the last of any muck now. Later I vacuumed the walls and skirting boards. Also washed down where needed-- most places. Probably need a another wash down but at least got most of it. I then painted the radiator, Paul put a coat of varnish stain on the skirting boards and door.

2nd

Looking at carpets today, we saw one we both liked. The dining room is the only way through the house so heavy traffic area. This time we have gone for a dearer carpet, same type as the front room. A Wilton, which has bean down around twenty plus years and not really any wear. I know it's not a through room but its lasted very well. Hopefully this will do the same.

I have an appointment with my NEUROLOGIST Doctor Solinas. I was supposed to see him in 2019. This got canceled, then COVID- then nothing. I rung up a few times as things had changed since the last time I saw him. Like my heart defect thing and mummer. Any way I brought him up to date with everything that had bean going on. When I last saw him be for 2019 he had said he thought my heart was not right. This was never followed up till a lot later by the CARDIAC team at the hospital when in after having seizures, after my knee operation.. May 1st 2019.

He is arranging a MRI scan of my neck as a lot of nerve pain there, has bean for a long time. When this will be, no telling as things are not done very fast even when emergency occur. At least I have seen him now. He is a very good Doctor or I think so, and listens to what you have to say.  

Walked back into town got a few bits, then headed home. When I got back, Lindsay my Daughter was there. Jamie-Lee arrived soon after from school. She had a good day and has settled in at secondary school very well. She had made a crocheted giraffe at home, this was lovely and very well made. 

3rd

Started putting up the wallpaper today in dinning room, going well no match, so easier than the front room. We got a lot done. With this paper its paste the walls, not the paper. I think this is quicker over all. Going good we need to finish and get all the cupboards and dining room stuff back out the front room so the settee and chair can go straight in when delivered. We will do it but there is no time for slacking.

6th

We have nearly finished papering just three bits left of the patterned fire breast wall. This was paste the paper not the wall on this paper. Also there are four rolls left to take back, so about sixty pounds credit. This will cover the cost for any other bits we still need to get, like chair seat cushions, new door mats plus other little things. My friend Jenny gave me the curtains a while ago. They go so well and are very good quality and will look so good went put up. Thank you Jenny. 

7th

Finished the wallpapering at twelve noon today at last. That's two major rooms done since starting on September 2nd. Now just carpet to go down then its all back in again, after cleaning polishing and sorting out the bits we no longer need. 

8th

Spring cleaning the bathroom and kitchen today even the tops of the wall kitchen cupboards, Not as dusty as I thought they would be. I hurt my shoulders doing this, but they will be ok. Plus I did inside the cupboards too. All clean but hard work.

10th

Pilates at last I feel like I need this. Paul gave me a lift there and back. Good session I enjoyed it a lot, a bit stiff though. Every one said they missed me and were pleased to see me back. Paul put up some of the shelves that hold the CDS and DVDS. These have bean waxed and polished up.

11th

B12 today went well but hurt for a long time after. I headed to town and got the wool I need for the Christmas presents I am making. The wool is Aran so it's a bit thicker than the DK weight I usually use. So this knits up a lot quicker. In America this is the wool, or yarn as they call it, is the one mostly used.

I went in the new B and M shop we have now got in town to replace Wilkinsons that went bust. Very bright and well stocked, pleasant staff too. Very impressed. There is another store out the city centre but this will be better for me.  

My legs hurt more than usual today down the shins and calfs. Could be my VARICOSE VEINS as the left leg is quite bad but, the hospital do not operate now unless urgent.. Like a matter of life or death.

12th

Flu jab at Doctors I thought it was just the flu jab, but the Doctor said I could have both. COVID as well not too sure to start with, as I had a bad reaction last year, and was ill for around a week. The Doctor said if not today you will have to wait to get an appointment here at a later date. I said, go on then. The Nurse did the injections, one in each arm. I said I had my B12 yesterday and it was a bit sore. She said she could see it and went higher up my arm. Neither were too painful not like the B12 one. 

Later that night I had a really bad head and unsteady on my feet, felt a bit rough. Hopefully this will pass, my arms, both of them are red and sore but hopefully all will be ok tomorrow.

  13th

Not a good night my head felt like it was going to split in two. So cold goose bumps all over. I ache, hope its not going to be like last year. I have taken extra tablets to help the pain but so far not doing a lot. By night time my head was a bit better but still cold and achy. I took more tablets be for I went to bed so hopefully I will be a bit/lot better tomorrow. 

14th

I woke up feeling better than yesterday, headache not as bad, still cold but on the whole quite a bit better.

 I cleaned off the window frame inside, and washed the window inside and out. Then I started cleaning the chairs ready for waxing. A big job but so worth it as they look like new when finished. 

16th

Carpet fitted today- so we will see it for real as the sample does not show it properly. We decided on new underlay as some of the old was wee stained and crumbled in places. One puppy training and an old dog Suey recovering from her ,hysterectomy operation. Lindsay and Jamie-Lee stayed here with her. Carpet looks lovely very pleased hope this one goes better than the last two. The last one separated from the backing when it was COVID. The one before that I set on fire when the puzzle board caught alight from a candle, and dripped melting plastic on to it causing three holes.  This happened when I rushed it though to the kitchen to put out the flames under the tap- March 5th 2019.

17th

Putting back the cupboards and sorting out the boxes of stuff that belong in the cupboards. Some will go to the charity shop, some put back, but there will be less of everything.

19th

Put back most of CDS and DVDS on the shelf after cleaning them. A lot less now as some have gone to charity or friends. Not doing too much today as tired and sore. Just a bit of knitting later. The circle needle I was using for a blanket broke. I did not have another so it had to go on straight needles. I will get another circle one soon. Just about managed with the straight ones but a bit squashed, but I am decreasing one stitch a row so getting less all the time slowly. Over Three hundred stitches at the moment, needs to be only two stitches. So quite a bit to go yet.

20th

Bit more sorting out today the Wii cupboard that holds all the system and games. All clean and tidy a bit more done. Watched a program about Dame Maggie Smith, Dame Judi Dench, Dame Eileen Atkins and Dame Joan Plowright. All talking about their life and family. Very interesting and funny.

21st

 Helped my friend Debbie out, by ordering some prescription items for her dog Monty, who has an eye and ear infection. The vet was going to charge nearly a hundred pounds. She paid on line around half of that. She was so grateful and can use the prescription again too. I was just pleased I could help her.

22nd

Put all the coins back in the display cupboard I kept dropping them all the time. They look very shiny and bright now. Bit of knitting later all going well.

23rd

 Bit more stuff in the cupboards. Changed bedding good drying day. Washed the dining room curtains as Lindsay is having them. They looked lovely just like new. Put up the curtains Jenny gave me and they do look very good in place. I need to start this months Blog as nothing done yet.

26th

Put the things back that go on the top of the cupboards, less now than there was, so not so cluttered. Also the crystal cupboard has Andrews SpaceX rocket, Hoppy, Dragon capsule and a piece of rock from the SpaceX rocket launch site. He was pleased with the way it looked.

 I was going to bed and went in the shed where Andrew smokes and does computer stuff, to say goodnight to him with Luna. He said it's a bit early for you its only one thirty. I said no it's two thirty. Both of us a bit confused, so we asked Google, it was one thirty. We did not realise the clock had gone back, as end of British Summer time.Most of the clocks to change to morrow now.  

27th

A lovely sunny day to start with. So nice on the common with Luna we saw no one to talk to, just the two of us, which is nice sometimes. 

Started my Blog today going well, now up to date. After doing Blog,  just a bit more knitting as quite a bit I want to do. Two blankets, a jumper and a jacket for Christmas. 

Later Debbie came round with some chocs for me, and a can of bear for Andrew. I said thank you very much but, there was really no need. I would just about do any thing for Debbie and her dogs. 

28th

Cleaning and a few odd bits around the house. The settee and chair are here tomorrow so that room will be done. Went shopping to get a few things, chair cushions and door mats. Got mats but no chair cushions. 

Lindsay and Jamie-Lee came round later after school. Both doing well. Tracy came and picked them up as its was her Birthday a few days ago but she was at her parents. So today is her Birthday, Gave her the presents and card we had got. Presents were a winter diffuser set, various coffee stick flavors, some short bread to go with the coffee, and chocolate orange. She liked them all.

30th

On the common I saw a fox, first one since I have bean going on the common around forty five years. He looked very well and a lovey red colour.

Suite arrived today, a bracket is missing so not that safe to use. We are going to sort it out at the shop tomorrow. Looks good in the room, that now is the last part of the room done. This has bean very hard for me as the CRONIC FATIGUE has left me completely exhausted at times. With more pain than I can cope with, then I am not able to relax or sleep. Now its done and the dinning room is just about finished too. 

31st

 Pilates today, Paul is taking me and picking me up after. Jo (pilates teacher) said Adele was coming today, she used to come be for she got ill a few years ago. So good to see her, we kept in touch for a while but not recently. She looked very well and said afterwards she enjoyed the session

After a rest Paul and I went to sort out settee bracket and other things. They are coming out on next week Wednesday 6th to hopefully put it right. The sette is electric reline so needs a plug socket. Paul is going to do this some time. The chair is ok as plug right behind it. We got some chair cushions for the dining room chairs. I still need a lamp for the dining room but did not see one I really liked.

A very busy and painful month but at least that is it for decorating for a very long time. Good to see it all done and looking good. Hope everything is going well for you all, and not having too bad a time. All the very best as usual Love Gill.   

September.

September 1st

Still head ache and pain over night, my calves hurt, also my back after the scan yesterday.

I am going to tidy up the front room ready for decorating, Paul is out for his diner. We are putting  polystyrene on two of the walls, (Paul's idea not mine) one outside wall, and the other a passage wall. This will help with any damp problems, as well as keeping the wall warm, hopefully. 

My headache went around 7pm just the legs and back now. Hopefully that will go soon.

2nd

Started putting on the polystyrene and got it all done went on quite well. I paste the paper measure and cut, then pass it up to Paul who does the rest. One of our friends are having the settee and chair today. This will give a near empty room to work on for the papering We have got all the wall paper now so its all go tomorrow. I do like decorating good job, as after this room its the dining room and hopefully get it done be for the settee and chair arrive in a few weeks time. Old settee and chair now gone, Paul got it in his car, two journeys, just down the road so that was good. They were so pleased with them as plenty of life left in them. 

3rd

Started on the fire breast wall today and got it all done, looks very nice. Nice wall paper to put on, bit more expensive than the usual, so should be. 

Just about to have tea and Paul realised that football started at 7pm and not 7.45. He had to leave his tea till he got back. I had mine, his will warm up in the microwave. When he got back he was cold, after his tea he was alright. 

4th

Janie-Lee first day at big school as we used to call it, secondary school. Just down the road from here, Lindsay went there as well. 

Guess what? more wall papering still going well but the paper we thought had no pattern match had, and not an easy one to follow. We mastered it in the end this paper looks good as well. My wrists hurt today right one from pasting the paper, left one because it can. This is the one I had the scan on last week. Just need to wait till a letter for results or when I see the specialist in November.  

Jamie-Lee had a good day and was excited when she came here. Lindsay got here a bit earlier so they could go home together on the bus. Lindsay will do this for a few days just till Jamie-Lee gets used to the new schedule. They have two buses to catch to get to school and the same home. They moved uphill to the other end of town about a year ago.

5th

Good walk on the common bit colder, east wind and mist. Saw a few of our friends. 

Back to wallpapering later after a sit down still going well, not got to the window bit yet though. This does not always go well. 

6th

We finished the wallpapering today and it looks really good. A few bits need a re stick on the edges, but that will be done later when Paul gets the PVA glue. 

Chips from the chippie for tea, very nice and curry sauce as well for me and Andrew. Not had chippie chips for ages, probably when Roberto was here in July. 

7th

Going into town today as two Birthdays tomorrow, Tommy-Lee and Jamie-Lee 18 and 12. I did quite well and got them a few things. Jamie-Lee has things coming by post. Tommy-Lee had money mostly so he can buy clothes. He loves to look like he has just stepped out a clothes shop very smart all the time. His shoes/trainers have to be just right. While in town  I got wool for two blankets I am making for Christmas presents. The same pattern I made last year.

Later I stuck the edges of paper down and everything looks good all finished. 

Very tired later with a storm head ache, as the air is very heavy today and humid. 

8th

Happy Birthday Tommy-Lee and Jamie-Lee. We will see them later. 

We went to see the Birthday two. Tommy-Lee was out with his girlfriend Kira, so we had Jamie-Lee on her own. She liked the things we got her. Two more presents to come next week. Jamie-Lee has a puppy around called Bonnie around 14 months old, a sort of a sheep dog, a bit like the  Dulux dog that's on the paint adverts. She is very sweet girl but is so big after Luna. Tommy-Lee came home and had his presents and money. He was very happy. He and Kira are going shopping to Nottingham tomorrow. He will let me know what he gets with his money.

11th

Cold today on the common Luna had her coat on. Today I am sorting out the records and cleaning the cupboard. We still have quite a lot, an old Beatles one as well.

12

Cold really cold today 4C overnight. Hopefully the weather will not get any colder as we have tomatoes in the garden plus a few more things not ready yet  I saw a deer today I think it was a doe, she just stood there looking at me and not moving then just walked off calm as anything. She was under the crab apple tree so could have bean  having a munch. 

I have a very sore throat, it looks a bit like an ulcer just where my tonsil would be, I had them removed 2006 I think, after loads of infections and getting to a huge size.

Luna had a second walk with me, Andrew, and Jamie-Lee in the afternoon. We got some apples off a tree that is on the common. Not sure if they are eaters or cookers.This year there have bean loads of them. I will make an apple crumble tomorrow with some rhubarb. 

13th

Rest day just doing a few bits today. 

Luna had her haircut today and looks so tiny and sweet (with long legs). 

She did not really want her hair cut and pulled away. My friend Kerry was here and fed her treats, but I had to tell her to slow down as she was getting too many. Did the trick though and she calmed down so Maxcine could cut her hair. How cute does she look now. She was a bit cold though and shudder quite a bit. So I think it was cuddle time. 

14th

Paul is cleaning the front room carpet today. Tomorrow we will choose the wallpaper for the dinning room, curtains and nets for the front room We have curtains for the dining room all ready and will try to get the paper to match.

15th

Went to the range to get everything.Took a while but we did choose paper. The nets we got from Dunelm the same place we got the last lot from years ago. We put up the nets in the front, a bit long I think but I will see tomorrow after they have settled a bit. They look very white and stand out. 

Andy from across the street bought us both a Mcdonalds breakfast. I rarely eat much in the morning so said I would have it for dinner. Paul was out so we both ate it for late dinner/lunch, when we got back from the shopping trip. Very nice it was too a breakfast bun plus hash browns. Years since I had a Mcdonalds, I think the last time was when I used to get the school shoes for the boys. We used to go there afterwards.

16th

The nets we got were a bit long. I am going to machine them up a bit. This took a long time pining and tacking them and finally machining them. They now are the right length and look a lot better. The old nets are still good so a neighbour is having them. 

I made a spag boll for tea very tasty too. I am extremely tired but pleased with the finished front room. Now just the dinning room.

17th

Cleaning up stairs today. I ache a lot but am coping. 

Two walks with Luna today, as Andrew wanted a walk. I could have just let him take Luna on his own as she likes going with him just as much. Nice on the common so I did not say no to another walk. Luna was very tired later. 

Pulled quite a few beans later we are freezing them so can have them any time. I took a lot of leaves off the tomatoes hopefully that will help ripen them. Had quite a few so far.

19th

Haircut today at last, I could barley see through my fringe well past my nose now. My hairdresser comes to the house, and had bean away for a few weeks. Her priority is her older ladies first. So I had to wait a bit for my cut. She is worth waiting for as I get a cut I want, as she knows my style now. With coming to the house and not a salon, it makes it so easy for me in many ways. No noise, not too hot or cold and the best thing she is a lot cheaper than most hairdressers. 

21st

We are taking all the things out of the dinning room and putting them in the front room. Paul's Brother Malc, has lent us a roller board to move large and heavy furniture. I think the name is a Dolly Board. So easy with this no effort at all. Very quick we got everything in the front. We need to finish the dinning room and have everything back in there be for the sofa and chair arrive in a few weeks time. The carpet has not bean chosen yet, but we need a hard wearing one as it's a walkway from the kitchen to the front. We have no access to the back garden without going through the house. Later after the dinning room is done we are going to get a Dolly Board of are own, to get the bins though the house and any other heavier stuff so the carpet stays looking good for longer.

23rd

Stripping off the wall paper in the dinning room. The wall I was a bit worried about was ok and not as bad as I had remembered it. Stripping off the paper I reached too high and wrenched my right shoulder. A lot of pain down my arm to my fingers and down my back. 

24th

In town again as Paul's Birthday 26th of this month. My shoulder hurts but hopefully it will be ok. I will manage I always do having RSD makes you stronger. I got quite a few things for his Birthday, mostly clothes hopefully they will fit. 

Shoulder very painful and sore a lot of nerve pain shooting everywhere. When you have something like RSD its not the bits you hurt or injure are affected its the whole body. So since I hurt my shoulder my legs get the pain, my back, most places not just the injured part. This can be extremely bad at times and needs a morphine top up. This in itself causes more problems, as the body craves for the extra you have given it so when reduced goes into withdrawl. Not a happy place but you have to deal with it as its your life now for good. Twenty years of having RSD you learn how to cope but, this does not make it any more pleasant.

26th

Happy Birthday Paul 70 today. Wayne and Kayleigh did a surprise visit so that was lovely only Lindsay knew. He got loads of presents from family and friends. Lindsay and Wayne got him a Lincoln City Football shirt with his name on it and age.  Andrew got him sweets and beer. His shirts I got him were too small so I need to take them back. 

Chinese for tea with the family, very good as always. Tired later as noise and people drain me. Still a lot of pain in my shoulder. Not too bad the rest of body.

A lot of rain has fallen over the past few days, hardly stopped at all.

28th

Finished off the paper stripping now, so pleased as its bean hard since I hurt my shoulder. Bean hard work with doing the front room as well hopefully it will all look nice when finished and will not need doing for many years.

30th

Filling in the holes and painting on a bit of damp stuff under the window. Cleaned up the mess and vacuumed the carpet. We are getting a new one so it does not matter if it gets mucky. 

Still rain very heavy the river is very high now much more rain and it could go over in places.

What a busy month and painful too. Every thing will be worth it in the end and we can look at the rooms and say we did that. I think I have said all I need to say in the Blog. Hope you are all reasonably doing well.

August 1st

I am not going to Pilates today as not feeling the best. I have a full on headache with all over pain, nerve pain mostly, plus a very sore throat.  Just going to rest a bit I think, the last few days have bean very heavy and humid which affects me a lot.

2nd

Another quite warm day to begin with, got hotter as the day went on. Andrew and I took Luna for another walk in the late afternoon. Very warm wind, warmer than this morning when I went out. We took water for her if she wanted a drink. She did have a bit so it was worth taking. We saw a baby deer very close, so cute. Possible storm later, hopefully. 

Did a bit of knitting of the pink baby cardigan, going well. Should be soon finished.

3rd

Cleaning down stairs again, very heavy air. I keep going dizzy when stood, and after walking from room to room. This has bean going on a while but worse today. I think the heat has a lot to do with it. I have bean told by the Doctor a while ago it could be VERTIGO. Sometime I will go again and have another talk to them.

Chinese for tea, I had pancake roll chips and curry, very nice it was too.

4th

Paul is going to Wayne's today, taking Lindsay and Jamie-Lee as well. I would love to go but the traveling would cause me a lot of pain and discomfort. A few people say just go and put up with it. They have never had the CHRONIC PAIN, and suffer with it every day. I have never bean to Wayne's house since be for COVID. Kayleigh his girlfriend moved in round about this time as well, 2020. 

Sorting out my wool today as the containers have got a bit messy. I have a lot of stuffing too which I tried to seal up in a bin bag and suck out the air but it did not work. 

Paul got back late evening, they all had a good time. MacDonald's for dinner and a carvery for tea. 

5th

While walking with Luna telling Debbie about my stuffing bag and she said she had a space bag. I could have, the right sort. Later I put it the test and it was just right. This saves a lot of room as I am able to just put it on the top of things as now flat packed.  

Luna is feeling a bit sorry for herself, as she is in season and probably a bit uncomfortable and sore. She is getting a lot of extra love and attention.

6th

Paul is taking Lindsay to Boston for an appointment for her head. She is seeing Doctor Solenus this is the same Doctor I was under when very ill having all my violent seizures. He actually sent me a big hug and asked Lindsay how I was. I am still under him if the seizures get bad again. Lindsay got a lot of things sorted so it was a good appointment for her. I think he is a very good Doctor and listens to what you say to him. 

Lindsay and Jamie-Lee came back here for awhile they all had McDonalds for dinner. 

7th

Andrew and I finally got through to his gun place about his gun that he got for his Birthday, that was faulty. The firm did not answer their phone or emails. We tried one more time to ring them and yes, some one answered. We got a prepaid label to send it back so hopefully this will be the end of it and will get a refund. This has taken over a mouth, so we are pleased, but be more so when the money is refunded, around seventy pound. 

8th

Got to Pilates this week and it was good, a few new moves as well. I feel very tired and still a sore throat. Pain still not good either.

10th

My Brother's  Birthday today. He is probably going to the coast for a day out with Bev his wife so we will see him tomorrow instead. 

Going to a BBQ next door, the barky dog one, Daisey. This is for the dogs to get to know each other and the same for the adults. Jay-Jay was here as well so he got an invite too. This was a very nice afternoon and we all enjoyed it very much. They did not go over the top with food, just right. I took a chew each for the dogs and they sat and enjoyed it, and got on very well. A good afternoon for all.

11th

Went to see David and Bev both doing all right. He liked the t-shirts we got him, and of course the box of chocolates. He has to hide them or they get eaten by someone else. Lliam's and Fiona baby Meadow, was there as well. First time we have seen her, and she is nearly a year old . Lliam her Dad is not well so Bev said she would have her for a while Fiona gets some jobs done. 

Chinese for tea as BBQ yesterday very good too.

13th

Ironing in the morning quite a bit took over an hour, a bit warm for doing this. 

I have now finished all the hat sets for the children from the war countries. All together there are-

Nine pairs of mittens.

Seven balaclava sets with mittens. 

Six hat sets with mittens and scarf.

One set just hat and mitts.

Twelve glove puppets.

They are all ready for Andy's Mum to pick up.

17th

Cleaning up stairs today a bit cooler so not too warm to do.  Quite a bit of pain though but I sat down for a while, still getting dizzy as well. Any way still got the bedrooms done, Paul at football not playing of course.

Andy's Mum picked up the hats and things. She was surprised at the amount I had done, and tried to pay me but I said no it's my bit for the children. If you have to give me anything chocolate, a small £1-£2 bar. She said something with nuts? I said OH NO that takes away some of the chocolate. She laughed, just Cadburys Dairy Milk- thank you but you do not need to. I think she would feel better after all the work I have done if she did buy me the chocolate. 

18th

A cooler day quite windy too. A good walk on the common with Luna. Dreaded nerve pain again just about every where. Bit of knitting later, gone back to the white baby jacket I started be-for the hat sets. Got the back done and front done as all in one. Now started on the sleeves, it's a lacy pattern but not that hard to do.

20th

Doing Blog today, other things as well, two lots of washing done and out, but rain soon came down. Nice to see some rain as the air has bean so heavy. Defiantly felt cooler later very nice. 

Hopefully now sorted out the refund for the gun. Had to ring up again three times to get through no answer the first two. They said a refund would be issued today. No sorry or anything. we will see Andrew even told them he would not deal with them again but they did not seem to care.  

22nd

Pilates today, Paul took me as not at the hospital volunteering. I was quite pleased as it was so windy. The road I go is very open and the wind just blows across. People at Pilates were pleased I did not come on my bike as well. One lady said you are only little, you could get blown off. I know a few times I have gone on my bike when windy and it was hard to keep straight. A good session today. 

At last a full refund for the gun. Only took about two months to get back. We will not deal with this firm again. Andrew has ordered a new gun and should be here today. Andrews gun arrived later but is faulty but he thinks he can fix it without it going back. He did mend it just really needed a bit more grease. At last he is able to enjoy his Birthday present from 21st June.

Walk with Andrew and Luna on the common we all enjoyed it. Luna was jumping around like a spring lamb. 

24th

While Paul was at football I started stripping the wallpaper off in the front room. Not coming off too bad. I know a lot of people do not like stripping off the paper but I do and always have.

 Growing up, Mum and I did quite a bit of the decorating as Dad worked a lot of hours on the farm where we lived. In harvest time it was from light to dark most days till the harvest was done. A lot of the time the combine- harvester used to breakdown, and Dad had to mend it as well. My Dad could turn his hand to most things and make them go again. In the end there was no chance for the combine to be mended and they had to borrow one. The farmer he borrowed off, had to get there harvest in first though. Everything worked out good and all the harvest got safely gathered in. Good life living on a farm.

25th

My wash line has broke, a rotary airer I think I can mend it but the cord is not too good, but I will at least give it try with super glue. 

26th

Paul and I finished off all the wallpaper  stripping yesterday, so I am pleased. The bin men will take it all away on Tuesday. Tomorrow is filling in any holes of the walls, and sanding. This bit I hate, all the dust. This sander has a bag on it so not too bad. Things are going really well. This time we are having a new sofa and chair, just need to find the one we both agree on, same as the wallpaper. Trapped my finger  behind the gas meter and cut it in lots of places quite sore now.

Super glued the wash line but not sure if it will hold. The cord is worse than I thought either so might be time for a new one. 

27th

A lot warmer today, walked around the common with my friend Amanda and her three dogs. Luna was playing with one of them called Lucy. Nice to walk around the common with someone, nice for Luna to have a playmate too. 

Rotary airer broke as soon as I tried to put it up, so a new one is needed.

28th

Happy Birthday to my Sister in Law Pam. Going to see her later. Also going to look for wallpaper and sofa and chair  plus wash line. Pam and her husband Malc are both good. After we left their house it was time to look for the paper, sofa and chair. We found one lot of paper but was not too sure so going to have another look tomorrow same with sofa and chair. We did get a clothes airer.

30th

We have now decided on the paper, sofa and chair all paid for and ordered. So no going back now, well you can but will not. I am just pleased its sorted and we can get the paper on the wall. One lot we have, the other on Monday, we had to order it, hopefully everything will look good. 

  

31st

Pictures of baby cardigans I have made. 

This pattern I really like and its easy to do.

Andrew and I have had a good crop of beans. 

We are both very pleased and they taste good. We have had cucumbers and chilis plus quite a bit of lettuce. Hopefully if the weather does not turn too cold we will have tomatoes too not ripening very fast. 

Today I have MRI scan  on my left wrist, at the hospital, or so I thought. I got the wrong place it was actually a fairly new place just down the road from us. The receptionist at the hospital phoned the right place and let them know I was still coming. That was really nice of her, she also let me ring home as Paul had just dropped me off, and I was going to make my own way back. The receptionist said a lot of people had got the wrong place, so not just me, Lindsay my Daughter did as well. She said it should be made clearer on the appointment letter. Paul came and picked me up again  Any way I got to the right place and had my scan. This was not very comfortable as I had to lay on my stomach with my arm up, with a pillow for my head and legs. This made my legs want to spasm up. I knew I had to keep very still, or the scan could be ruined. Very noisy and seem to take a long time. I kept my eyes shut most of it. After I felt very dizzy and a massive headache, my legs hurt with being still for so long. I was pleased they did not go into spasms. 

When we got back Jamie-Lee was here, as I was looking after her while Lindsay went to a boxing match. Later we had Chinese for tea-super, very nice too. My headache was still there when I went to bed, also my legs were still painful. 

Jamie-Lee was good as always, and we talked about various things. She starts secondary school next week. I am sure she will be ok. Last year she missed the starting date by a few days as her Birthday is on the 8th september, so will be one of the oldest there in year seven. All the best Jamie-Lee.
