September.

Well here we are in September, the leaves are turning brown and some are dropping off the trees. The conkers are getting big as well, but not many this year. We have had a lot of windy weather here so I think a few might have bean blown off.

2nd

Back to Pilate's nothing too strenuous as Jo wanted to break us in gently as its bean six weeks since the last session. Everything went well for me, a good session.

My hands have bean very bad the last few days. My hands go blue and white and numb. I am dropping things all the time. I dropped my mug and its bounced on the tiled kitchen floor, how I don't know as it should have shattered.

The mug ended up with just a chip.

I suffer very badly from RAYNARD'S this affects my hands and feet but I think my hands suffer the worst. A combination of this and the RSD makes some every day things very difficult. Not all the time though.

3rd

The boys are back at school today and I think they look very smart don't you?
Jay-Jay is in year 7 now- first term at Secondary School.
Tommy-Lee is in year 4 now.
Still getting used to there short hair, they like it better. I am not so sure.

4th

Age UK today, not sure how this will go as the Kitchen  manger left last week. The new one will not start for a few weeks. I am still on the drinks plus any other jobs that come up. My friend Sheila is on the till today. We work very well together, I can usually work with most people though. Sheila just makes it more fum.
The day turned out good we all pulled together and there were no major problems. A good day for them.

I was in a lot of pain and took quite a few tablets. I am exhausted from lack of sleep. The night brings no relief for me. Just the opposite in fact, I get in to bed anywhere from 2am-- 4am. Body tired and just want to switch off. Pain usually starts in my legs and feet, then shoulders next, burning, jumping and electric shocks. Some parts hot, some very cold. My night is not very settled at all. I know a lot of you suffer like this.

5th

Lindsay here today, the boys are tired and a bit grumpy. I think its from just starting back to school.
Jamie-Lee was a little madam as well.

I am still getting a lot of pain and discomfort as well. I know some is down to the weather getting colder.

I am doubling my GABAPENTIN to two in the morning and two at night, one at dinner still, may be this will help the nerve pain. I hope so.

6th

Out today for dinner with Paul's IA crew. I had the beef dinner good it was. Also a ice cream for pudding. A good day, nice to see some of the other IA members. A couple were very generous and paid for mine and Paul's meal. Thank you both.

7th

A bit better night, but still a lot of pain and spasms. Legs ice cold- body wet with sweat. Paul asked me if we should put on the winter quilt. I woke up cold a few times but also hot. At least I got a few hours sleep.

Going into town today. Tommy-Lees Birthday and Jamie-lees as well. Just need a few things.
John came for his cup of tea in the afternoon. He was very pleased as I had got him a cake. I make a few cakes usually, but not this week. Paul and I had one too. Very tasty. I know John enjoyed his.

8th

Happy Birthday Tommy-Lee and Jamie-Lee. Nine and three today. Lindsay said they were both very excited.

 Tommy-Lee with his GO-Pro
Jamie-Lee with her new doll.

We are all out for a meal with them all later tonight. After we got back present time again for them both.

Bed times I am beginning to dread. I feel like I am on a scary ride and I can't get off. All the pain seems to be ten times worst at night. Still wide awake at gone four am, Please body and brain get together and switch off. I can see why some people go down the KETTAMINE route. This is not for me though too risky.... This treatment is not available in UK anyway.  I would just like to have a pain free night or day even.

My hands are still the same, writing this, I look down at them and they are blue and white and numb.
This makes typing hard and costly mistakes can be made. Like deleting the whole lot. Thank goodness for the back/undo button.

9th

Up around eight am. This should have bean a Pilate's day but Jo had a few problems so not on today.
I made the children a Birthday cake to share, they said this would be fine.

Can you spot the mistake? I did not, neither did five others.

I am going tonight to take it to them and stop a while. Paul is dropping me off. He is out him self to night.

10th

I took these pictures of Summer and her best friend Mr Ginge.

Today I am getting the front room ready for decorating, taking all the ornaments out and as much stuff as I can. I don't feel that good but it needs to be done. Taking the cushions up stairs I scraped my arm on the door frame its a bit sore.

11th

Age UK--- what a day my friend Sheila is on holiday, so no one to man the till and take the orders. Some was supposed to be on at eleven but that did not happen. I ended up doing it and the drinks. I am not used to the till and was shown a different way to what I was shown a few months ago. Putting in the amount tendered. I managed with a bit of help and the day was saved. Very tired when I got home but still enjoyable all the same. Sheila is away another week so it might be a repeat of today again. Bad head later.

12th

A cold and sore throat now all red and swollen on the right side. A cough as well, one of those where you cough and cough and still get no relief apart from gunk coming up. I knew some thing was happening to me. A cold at this time is not good, dentist for the filling that dropped out twice. Pilate's and acupuncture this week.
In the afternoon I did a bit of stripping, feel rough but it needs doing.

13th

Tommy-Lee is playing football today, Paul has gone to watch. I have got Jamie-Lee, she has bean ill as well cold, cough. We were a right pair together.

After she was picked up more stripping in the front room. Paul helping this time with the steam stripper. This worked very well and we got loads done. Still hard going though, this paper did not want to come off. I think doing something when you can, will help a cold or me any way.

14th

Not a good night, found it hard to breathe at times and whole body was jumping. I washed the curtains  and the backing has come away in places. Washed as it said so they must be just old. Now we need to get new ones. We have got I think, everything else we need for the new front room. We finished stripping off all the paper now. What a big job it was too.

15th

I feel very choked up, and bunged up as well. Acupuncture day- I hope they can help a bit, as extra pain all round because of my cold.

Acue turned out to be a big session treated by a lovely girl called Preeti. I have not seen her before.
We talked for a while getting me updated from last time. The treatment started with my legs. Ten needles in each some very painful, next eight in each arm hand, some of these were put between my fingers to try to help me stop dropping things. They were quite painful. One in the top of my head then one more in my forehead. Some of these hopefully will help with my cold and clearing my tubes.
I was left to relax a while. When Preeti came back all the needles were taken out. Now time for the next part, eight more needles in my shoulders and back. My right shoulder really hurt. In fact a lot of the needles hurt this time. The needles were out, then I had a massage on my shoulders and upper back this was weird- painful yes, very at times, but nice and relaxing in a way. Preeti said I was very tight in my shoulders and back. I said this is one of the better days as well. Every where tingled and I felt like I was glowing. Pity this affect does not last. I said thank you and went on my way. A cup of tea first at the cafe. I stood at the counter and dropped the hot tea all over just missing my legs, they were splashed but other than that I was alright. Not so good for the floor and counter though. I told the lady how sorry I was. The mess was soon cleaned up.

Paul picked me up and we went to the Dunelm Mills store to get curtains and nets. We got both too.
Later that night I coughed up loads of stuff and my nose just streamed. Reaction or just coincidence?
I felt so tired. but a lot clearer in my tubes.

16th

Pilates-- Jo is not here this week but the class is being taken by Jeff, we have seen him a few times when he has stood in for Jo. A good class too. He can be very funny at times and making jokes. I enjoyed it.

My chest is tight but on the whole I feel a lot lighter. Quite a bit of pain in my shoulders more so the right side. They both tingle and burn. Did not do too much when I got back. My arm started bleading in the bath and its very sore now.

17th

When Summer and I were out this morning we saw this truck--- Nice.

Dentist again to refill tooth again, the dentist said this is different tooth? I don't think so. I am looking back over the past year to see when the fillings were done. Dentist charges are high enough without repaying twice for treatment.

A bit of shopping in town then back to wallpapering with Paul. Now for the easy bit, and I think  most enjoyable seeing a new room come together.
We did well and got a lot done. I feel very drained tonight, up very late last night.

My arm is very sore looks a bit gungy, hope its not infected. Weird as if the arm does not have enough to cope with, the RSD gives it more pain.

I did not feel tired, well I do, but my brain does not---so no sleep just yet. I finally went to bed after four am.

18th

Age UK - not a good day for me. Only bean there ten minutes and I had knocked the top off the coffee filter machine and it fell on Diane and also the front bit off the fridge shelf. Spoons and mugs I dropped plus a glass which shattered as it hit the floor, bits everywhere. Never mind I did not hurt anyone. Apart from that a good day, steady but not too busy. Some one manned the till as well, that was good. Still suffering from the cold and cough.
Arm very hyper sensitive today, painful to touch and nerve pain shooting just about everywhere.

19th

Cleaning chair and settee out front room coming up quite good. When summer is a bit wet after her walk she tends to rub herself along the bottom of them leaving marks. Maybe I don't think I do a good enough job drying her or she just likes the feel of it. She has not bean very happy as her usual routine has bean upset, not long now Summer.

Lindsay here with everyone for a while. Jay-Jay likes his new school and even though he said he would not make new friends, seems to have lots. Tommy-Lee is happy in his new year.

20th

Not a good night lot of pain arm foot and now hip is playing up. The nerve pain is shooting down my leg then upsetting my arm and anything it can. Even though it hurts to move I know I need to and this will help. This is not a new thing, it's been going on a few years now. My hip moves very slightly out of alignment and traps the nerves and upsets everything. This can last hours or days even weeks in the past. Hope its the less of them all. Quite a few extra tablets today.

Getting things back in the front room looking good, very light.

 Just about all done.

The last few days have bean more like Summer so its bean good for decorating and me. I know Winter is just around the corner. Not good for RSD maybe this one will be better this year. After all the seizures seem to have settled for now.

21st

Bit better night, but nothing to party about. Pain has reduced a bit, hip is now bearable hopefully not loads of extra tablets today. I am able to move a lot better, even my arm does not look as bad. This I am very pleased about as I don't really want to go on ANTIBIOTICS.

Got a lot of ironing to-do as not bean doing too much apart from the front room.

22nd

Woke to a violent headache between the eyes. the sort that makes you feel dizzy and sick. I will try to work it off, sometimes a walk on the common helps.

Cleaning, and still knitting the Age UK hats- yes still-- soon I will put a picture up when they are all done.

Headache did go late afternoon.

23rd

Another bad head--

Pilate's Jo is back today, a good session quite active today.

I am sorting out my porcelain dolls, not as easy as you would think. A lot of the clothes need washing. So first undress the doll, take a picture so I know which clothes go on which doll. Wash dresses by hand, when dried put them back on. Do their hair and wipe down the face and hands.  (Baby wipes do a very good job, in fact baby wipes are good for a lot of small marks on clothes) They do look good now all of them look a lot brighter.

I feel very drained I just wish I could sleep better. People say go to bed but it does not work like that. My body wants to crash but my brain is saying lets PARTY.

24th

Woke up sweating and dizzy. One day I will wake up and feel like I have had a good sleep, one day.
Back seemed to have calmed down a bit now.
The weather is turning colder now winter in on the way. Not a good thing for RSD suffers. I have already had a few Raynard's attacks.

More doll sorting should all  be done today.
All done.

25th

Age UK Sheila back, so a better day. Quite steady but not over busy. The lift has bean broke for the last two weeks so some regulars have not bean coming in.
Bit of shopping in town as it's Paul's Birthday tomorrow. I have booked a few days Holiday for us from 4th October - 9th. More about this at a later date.

26th

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL, Hope you have a better one this year--- this time last year I was in Hospital and stayed there for six weeks.

Paul and Summer opening presents.

Wayne is here as well for the night. Lindsay will be here later. We are going out for a Chinese meal later, just the adults Tommy-Lee was not very impressed but they can't go everytime.

Paul looking smart on his big day.
Tracy, Lindsay and Wayne.
  Me of course.

Not too sure what we ate but it made us go a bit funny. Wayne was OK though.

27th

A good night last night. Wayne going back to Halifax later. He is putting Windows 10 on my laptop.

I looked on the Web for information about my teeth breaking and was shocked about the findings.
A lot is caused by my medication I know. Also I found out that why teeth crumble and break it's a dry mouth and not enough saliva in the mouth to wash away the bacteria. Caused by ???  guess what RSD. Tablets have a lot to do with it as well, If I did not have the RSD I would not be on the strong stuff. More pain caused by this dreaded RSD.
I have bean sucking sweets the worst thing I could do. Going to try some chewing gum to keep my mouth moist..

On a good note though Tommy-Lee scored a goal at his match. Well done mate.

 Well done Tommy-Lee.

29th

Acupuncture today so that always helps me. This went well, pretty much the same as last time but not as many needles. Thirty one in total hands, arms, legs, right heal. I have bean having a lot of problems with this while walking. A lot of pain and burning. Three in my face for relieving the choked up feeling in my throat and nose like last time. Five in my shoulders and neck. Thirty two in all not as many as last time. Afterwards I felt good. Very tired though.

30th

Pilates--Jeff today as Jo's not too good hopefully back next week.  I enjoyed the session as I said before Jeff can be quite funny. I do most, stood up down and some of the moves are quite demanding. A good day for me.

Not as clogged up in my nose and throat today. A lot of people knock Acupuncture, but I know
someone you did, and then needed some treatment themselves. After a few sessions they changed their mind.. Nothing works for everyone though.

Well another Blog done and getting close to the end of the year. Another year of RSD. I often wonder what I would be doing if RSD had not entered my life when it did. Hopefully I would be still running and would have done my Marathon. RSD has robbed me of so much, but it could have bean a lot worse. At least I can still get about, painful most of the time. There are a lot of RSD suffers that are house bound.

On a better note my two best friends
 Mr Ginge.
  Summer.

I wish everyone all the best love Gill.
