September 1st
Well September here again, the children will soon be back at school for the Autumn term.
Very windy today rain as well. Next doors cover from there patio set, kept trying to blow off. She had to tie it down, still it blew up and looked like it would blow away. Very windy when me and Luna went to bed.
Cleaned up all down stairs today nearly six o'clock when I finally got it all done. I had to keep having a rest. Still going dizzy at times and so tired.
Later I had forgotten to take my MORPHINE tablet and went into withdrawal hot sick feeling and very shaky. I took it and after around a hour I felt a bit better.
4th
Cleaning up again with having the back door open while its windy causes a lot of dust and bits blow in. I could shut the door but I like it open. Luna can come and go as she pleases so she does not have to ask me to let her out.
I have a wheel chair not used it in a while but I did use it constantly in the early days. Its always there if I need it. For the last few months its bean at Lindsay's (my Daughters) house borrowed for Tommy-Lee when he had his accident on his bike. He did not use it but it stayed there. Paul picked it up and I gave it a clean and pumped up the tyres, be for it was put away again ready for use when needed.
Paul and Lindsay went out for an afternoon tea a present from his Sister. I do not go as I have IBS and more than one sandwich and a cake I suffer a lot, pain and bloating. If I keep to a reasonable diet with processed foods and cakes limited, I am usually alright so its not worth me going at all. Lindsay enjoyed it very much so did Paul.
5th
Today I made a banana custard flan I made the pastry and Andrew made a proper egg custard. He said if I had gone to the trouble of making the rest, it deserved a proper custard not one made from from a birds custard powder tin.
Rested today as bean busy this week. I gave Luna a small football and she played in the garden with it. Luna made so much noise playing and barking, running around until she was panting. She does not pant easily, so I said its time for a drink and rest. Even though she did not want to stop playing she came inside had a drink then went to sleep. A bit later she was playing again. She loves her new ball. Luna is a very playful pup and will keep her self amused playing with her now many toys.
6th
Luna was barking at the back door me thinking she just wanted to come in. She had actually found her ball from where I put it yesterday and wanted to play again. Cleaver girl Luna we played for a bit till she was tired again.
7th
Quite nice till we had a storm. I do like storms, so I was watching from the dinning room window. Lighting and thunder and lots of rain. We have not had a storm for ages. With Lincoln being in a dip we often miss the worst of the weather.
Bean cleaning up most of the day again, just got it done when the visitors arrived.
Paul is out for his dinner today with his IA lot. A three course meal so no cooking today, but if I did he would have some more. Two of our friends who were at the meal called in on there way home which is Great Yarmouth. Good to see them. I do not go to the meals now because its too noisy and too many people. I usually go to the Christmas one but struggle with that one as well as there are a usually lot people there.
I do not go very far now at all. The common and a few trips into town when needed. Shops if busy I have to come out of. Noise is not good for me, nor bright lights, specially the flickering ones.
8th
Happy Birthday Jamie-Lee Thirteen and Tommy-Lee nineteen. Jamie-Lee here after school, Gave Tommy-Lee's presents to Lindsay. Jamie loved all the things I gave her. She had a bit of money where Tommy-Lee has mostly money. Both of you have a lovely day.
10th
Very sharp pain in my lower left leg when I tried to get out of bed. The nights are getting colder and my legs suffer. Probably start taking the QUININE again.
Paul out for his dinner again plus yesterday as well. Me I did the ironing eight shirts and three pairs of trousers. This took well over an hour. Knitting a few more Izzy dolls and sewing them up.
I had my hair cut as well looks very nice as always- ten pound plus two pound tip. Coked tea for both of us. Andrew usually gets his own but he does sometimes join us. He is vegetarian, has bean since he was two. Now thirty seven.
11th
Pilates today at last, not bean for a while. Very cold on my bike and windy too. Good session enjoyed it a lot. Some things I have not done so new to me. I did forget Jo's book though. She had promised it to some one else thinking I would bring it today. I was a bit mad with my self as I had it in my hands last night thinking I must take that tomorrow. On the way back the wind were very strong and mostly head on. They blew me all over the road. Took me a bit to control my bike. Coming down Canwick hill I tested my brakes as in the past were not the best. Lindsay had altered them for me and they were perfect. Thank you Lindsay.
12th
Luna had her hair cut today she was better today as last time was not very keen. £30.00 plus a tip.
Maxine tied up her ears as they were getting in the way.
After her cut so cute.
14th
Very windy again rain later, hopefully not be for the washing has dried. On the very windy common we saw a lady I have not seen for ages. She used to rescue Westie dogs, mistreated a lot of time and give them a better home. She still has got one called Blue, who the first time I saw him he let me stroke him and fuss him. The lady was very surprised as he had only so far let her touch him. He had only bean with her a few days though. She did say he is still a bit choosey who he lets stroke him even now. I think he recognized me as his tail was wagging, he also said hello to Luna both of their tails wagging.
Next door has had trouble with there cover for the patio set again. The wind was blowing it almost away she sorted it out and it looked fine but will it still be there tomorrow?
15th
Patio cover still there, she was pleased. Windy and rain again nice on the common. Not really cold today.
Got my washing dry well nearly, just a few minutes in the dryer to finish it off. I could have put it out again but sun and rain today so its not worth it to get them possibly wetter when nearly dry. Ages since I used the dryer, clothes very soft now.
18th
Good walk on the common, raining a bit but we only got a bit wet Luna and I.
I went to pilates today but, forgot to charge up my bike so I took the charger with me and Jo let me charge it up inside the hall. All good now, for going home. I can ride it without pedal assisted but I know I will suffer later. A good session with Jo, we did some more of the Monks Tia chi. I really enjoy it a lot. I know some of the laddies find it a bit fast. On the way home my left foot kept going into spasm very painful. I think its because it has to keep still while on the pedal. My right pedal has a clip to it to keep my foot on it. l as with out would fall off. At one time I did have a clip on each of my pedal but this was awkward as when I stopped at lights, and such like. I could not get my foot down quick enough. So I took the left one off.
Later I walked into town with Andrew as he needed a bit of company. We separated and I looked round a few shops and got Andrew some coffee packs that were on offer, but forgot he has the beans to grind himself. I showed him while waiting at the gates for the trains to go past, after meeting back up again. We went back to the shop and they exchanged it for the beans. Pity as it was a bargain price. Six pack of ground coffee for ten pound instead of twenty eight. Andrew said it had bean ground for a while so not as fresh so getting out of date.
Quite a busy day for me. The walk on the common mile plus, around ten miles bike ride, pilates, plus around three miles with Andrew. Lots of steps for any one thats counting.
19th
Cleaning up today quite warm too 19C at eleven am. Bit more knitting of the Izzy dolls, not much wool left now so not many more to come.
20th
Had a phone call from my friend Mary saying that she had lost her house keys. She had them near the common gate, She locks Rory's (her dog) pushchair up there so used them it to unlock it. She thinks she might have dropped them near the gate or fence. I said I would go back and have a look for her. She lives away off and I just opposite the common. No they are not there I said I will go and look down Sincil Bank just in case you have dropped them on the way home. Trouble was there was a football match on, Lincoln City was playing. Mary was getting a bit anxious as her Daughter was away and no one had a spare key. She said she would have to ring a lock smiths.
I met my friend Debbie and we both went on the hunt for the keys. No luck along the bank. We walked a bit further and arrived at Mary's house we could not contact her now as her mobile had gone wrong and was not ringing. Debbie texted her and she rang us back. We saw Rory's pushchair near her back door with the lost keys still in the pushchair lock. The locksmiths was on his way so we had to find her and tell her be for she was charged for something she did not now need. We found her after a while with help from a neighbour. She rung the lock smiths and cancelled, explaining what had happened. Debbie and I had a cup of tea with Mary and Rory. Rory was pleased to be home as well. Debbie and I walked home with many thanks from Mary. We were both just pleased we could help her and save Mary the locksmiths expense.
21st
Paul and I went shopping for a present for his Birthday he got a nice zip up cardigan from Sainsburys. I am going into town next week to see what else I can get him I have a few ideas. The shops were quite busy, more so than I thought they would be.
23rd
In town to day to get Paul a few more presents. I did quite well getting him I think some nice things. A zip up hoodie a jumper, slippers and body spray plus a few snacks. I got some wool for cardigan I am making for a Christmas present. When I have finished all the Izzy dolls I can start it.
25th
Andy (neighbor from across the street.)would like me to make him a tea cozy for his little tea pot. This will not take long I am doing it in plain red as I have quite a bit of red. Still a bit of wool left for the Izzy dolls.
My friend Jenny phoned up today and said she had bean in hospital since Tuesday 23rd as she had some form of collapse. I told her I hoped things would improve and I would see her soon. Hope you feel better soon Jenny- all the very best.
26th
Happy Birthday Paul Lots of people came to give Paul cards and presents. He like the things I got him too. In fact everything was lovely. We had Indian for tea/super very nice it was too.
I have at last finished knitting the Izzy dolls.
Over the next few days I will hopefully get them to a place where they can be used for the children in the war zones. When I started,Oxam was taking them, but not sure now if they still do I will find out.
28th
In the afternoon Paul took me to see Jenny she looked tired and quite pale. She is still having tests and investigations to find out why the collapse happen. A nice afternoon spent with her I took her some chocolates from Paul and I which she appreciated very much.
30th
A damp start to the day but later the sun came out it was quite warm. While on the common a big horse came behind Mary's Daughter Luna and pushed her quite hard. I asked her if it hurt and she was ok. A few years ago Mary her Mum, got knocked twice over by a big horse who reared up over her. Mary thought he was going to kick her while she was on the floor. Very scary for her.
While I was sat at the table I felt very strange and pain in my stomach. I and had to run to the bathroom, where I was very sick- my face was pasty white, and I was shaking and sweating a lot, my face and body were wet. I sat down for a while till I felt right. I was not sick any more but my stomach felt very sore.
Tea cozy I made Andy.
He has not seen it yet as he has bean ill with Covid so not bean round for the past week.
Well here we are in very nearly in October the nights are getting longer and the days a bit colder. The common also is changing the leaves are off a lot of the trees now. I know Autumn started early because of lack of rain over the Summer, then seemed to pause a bit now I think its back on track.
I hope you are all well as you can be, ME--- I just keep going, like Eddie Duck said " when the going gets tough the tough get going" All the best Love Gill.
