June

June 1st

Well-- what a start to the day, pain in my stomach explosive diahria. You could say better than constipation yes it is but-- I would have preferred to get to the toilet first. Ah well soon sorted.
I am going to Lindsay's today to bring Summer home. I have missed her a lot. I hope Timmy is doing ok on his own he has a while to go be for Wayne comes home. (Saturday).

Lindsay is not too good she still has a lot of pain in her shoulders and neck.

I walked Summer back home across the common, she loved it and chased around like a dog possessed. The common is looking lovely now, all the trees have their full summer time look.

Summer heading for home and her biscuits.

Nice to have Pup back home, I have my little friend back, she sat with me most of the night.

2nd

Broken night again pain, plus spasms. In town getting some blue fur for a teddy I am making for an IA member. Plus a few other things. I came home exhausted and in pain. I had OXYNORM on the bus this helped a bit. I had a lay down but did not sleep.

3rd

Pilates was good. I was talking to a lady and she asked me about my pain. I told her one of my pain conditions was RSD. Her face said it all, she had heard about it, but never met any one with it. On Saturday 13th there is a film about pain management. I think I will go and see if I can learn anything.
Tired today and pain well above average.

4th

Wayne's arriving back from his holiday and coming here for two nights. Good to see him, but he was very tired. Some presents as well- very nice, thank you Wayne.

Presents that Wayne brought use back from America.

A few pictures he took while there.

 Elton John.
 NO way Wayne-- not President.
Emma and Wayne in New York.

 Start of Disney World.

 Very pretty gardens.

These are just a few of the pictures he took.

5th

Lindsay's here with everyone. Wayne had brought them all little gifts as well. I cooked tea for us all roast chicken with all the extras. We all ate well. A long day but nice for everyone to be together.

6th

Lindsay here again with just Jamie-Lee today, the boys are at a party. Lindsay is getting better but still not right.
Paul took Wayne home to Halifax late afternoon, he is staying the night so just me and Pup. I am going to catch up on my recording on TV. A quite night for both of us. I have a headache, and bean using a lot of Tiger Balm on my shoulders and head. This helps me a lot of the time. Sometimes it just makes me cold, at least its a distraction.

8th

Wayne was very pleased with his garden. Janet and Dave had put in a lot more plants from there garden after thinning some out.
A warm morning, just like Summer. Summer dog loved her walk and it was like she liked the weather as well. The common has grow so much with nettles and cow parsley waist high.

I have finished off the Teddy and pleased with it. This is one of the harder ones to do. I embroider the T shirt as well. My hands were hurting and going into spasm with pain shooting up my arm. My body telling me to stop, I managed to finish it.  I need to rest now even writing this hurts.

Blue Ted for an IA member.
Three Teddies I made- two are going to Amsterdam

9th

Going out with Paul for a IA dinner. The lady I made the Teddy for should be there. She was indeed there and very pleased with the him She even wants another one making, a rabbit this time this is a lot easier than the Teddy to make.  I told her this one would take longer as I would take my time.  I worked hard to get the Teddy done so she could have it at the meeting. A nice meal and I enjoyed it.

10th

Pilates again, was good I enjoyed it, Jo is doing a lot more stood up and this is better and more enjoyable for me. The session helped my headache as well, probably releasing the tight muscle. I am so pleased it has backed down a bit as it was getting to me. I think I am missing my ACUE sessions.

11th

Some good news, a cancellation for ACUPUNCTURE  so I can have a appointment today. I am so pleased I hope it helps. While in town I am also having my eyes tested. ACUE went very well I saw Bob a second year student. He has suggested that I could try CUPPING or ACUE- PRESSURE even MASSAGE to see if that helps.
19 needles in all, 7 in each leg, 1 in each elbow, 1 in my forehead and 1 in the top of my head, also one in my stomach with the heat lamp on. I think this was to draw the heat away from my body and to spread to my cold limbs. I felt good after but a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders.

My eyes were good, no change needed with my glasses.
I walked home with the pain getting worse. I was so pleased to get there. Chinese for tea very good.
Rested the rest of the day.

12th

Age UK today, on the drinks as usual a few changes since I was last here, a new coffee machine for cappuccinos and lattes etc. Plus a few changes on the tables. We were very busy and people were quite demanding as well. A bit of shopping then home by bus

13th

It's the talk and film on Pain Management today and it was called the "Connection mind your body". Very interesting, I did not learn too much as I have seen something very similar on the Internet. The film and talk was mainly about teaching your body to help itself and relax, meditation and breathing. Very good all the same. Jo does relaxing on a smaller scale. I would like to be able to relax, but the RSD has different feelings.

Called at Lindsay on the way back as she is having a few problems withdrawing from the MORPHINE she has bean taking. I know how she feels so I was able to help her and reassure her. I think she is over the worst now.

I hurt a lot myself and have bean taking OXYNORM, this helped quite a lot but makes me feel like I am away with the fairies. Not sure if the ACUPUNCTURE has had as much effect this time.

16th

Today I am sorting out my glass and crystal display stand. Some are very fragile and I worry that I will drop them. I never know when my hands will go weird and shake or just not respond. Anyway all went well and I got it all done.

As you can see a lot to wash and get back in one piece.

A few weeks back I was given some dried fruit from my friend John. I promised him a cake, so today I made two. One for him one for us and some for Ben. John is here tomorrow so he will be pleased. He likes cake very much even more so when its home made.
I also made the chocolates from the organic kit Andrew got me for Christmas. I have not made them before as I had loads of chocolate from Christmas. I will sent Andrew a few as well.

Jay-Jay is going to Haworth, the Brontie Sister's part of the world in West Yorkshire. I hope he has a good time. I know Tommy-Lee and Jamie-Lee will miss him.

Jay-Jay in jeans and hoody with his friends.
17th

Early blood test today 8-40am. I took Summer when I got back, she was not very pleased at being left. She soon perked up once she realised that we were going on the common. I think she forgave me.

Pilates went quite well, at one point I felt like I was far away, almost in a trance. The air is very heavy today, I think we are in for a storm. I know my head feels like it. A lot of sweating as well hot/cold as usual.

Lindsay said she feels very heavy headed as well. She is a lot better now and just about recovered from her pain and withdrawal experience, I think everyone is pleased. No one more so than her.

John came round he is well and was so pleased I had made him a cake. One happy John.

My friend Nicky took  this picture while walking Basil her dog.
New babies, first little swans I have seen this year.

19th

Age UK today. Went into town first with Paul. Did the drinks and washing up as well. Was shown how to use the till as well. Today we had a special event. The Big Chinwag. This started straight after dinner.  Cream tea all set out with china cups and proper cake display plates. This all looked very nice just like an old tea shop. They all seemed to enjoy it. A lot of washing up after but it was soon all done.
A long day I left about 3-30pm started at 11-20pm. Busy as well. I enjoy things like this, some of the older people are very lonely and this puts a smile on there faces. So nice to see.

Jay-Jay is back from his travels, Lindsay said he enjoyed it a lot. His first time away on a school trip. I hope to hear all about it from him to morrow.

20th

Lindsay and gang here. Jay-Jay had a good time on his trip away. Lindsay is about right now, but she has lost a lot of weight. She is like me, she soon looses it. I hear you all say lucky things, but no it leaves you weak and takes ages to put back on. I have just about reached my normal weight now.

We spent time in the garden Jamie-Lee played with the cars and the outdoor things, until it rained that is. The boys were upstairs in the Chill Room doing videos for there you-tube channel.
A good day but such of lot of pain in my legs.

21st

Happy Birthday Andrew. A bit disappointing we could not join him on his Birthday. He has a friend meeting up with him later in the day.

I am in the garden tiding up and cutting back the plants that have finished flowering for this year. A nice day.

Pity I can not say the same for me. I have ice cold lower body and sweating top half. RSD you have a lot to be blamed for. Still pain in my legs. I got warm later when I had a bath.

22st

Today Summer and I walked to the crematorium to take flowers for my Mum and Dad and brother. I like to go when its quite. With yesterday being Fathers Day I knew it would be busy, so I decided to go today instead. Going it was raining a bit. Then it was like the sky spilt open, hail stones and a torrential down pour. We got quite wet. Never mind Summer does'nt care, and its only water.

After getting dried we were tired but ok we walked about twice the distance we normally do.

In the afternoon I finished off the rabbit for the IA lady looks good I think.

Cooked roast leg of lamb for tea with all bits that go with it. Very tasty it was just cooked right. Summer had a little bit and there is loads left for another meal.

I rang the Doctors to check on my blood test, my blood is not right so I need to see him. This will not be tomorrow as we have a parcel to be picked up. This can be anytime during the today. So I need to stay in.

My friend Sally sent me this picture of her in action, makes me very feel good for her but jealous at the same time. She has bean ridding from an early age, and wins lots of events and is a very confident rider.

23rd

My legs feel a lot better than the last few days, I am very pleased about. When I see the Doctor I will ask him about it. I think this will be Thursday at the earliest.

Waiting in for the parcel pick man to come. About dinner time  Parcel picked up and on its way to Andrew in Amsterdam.

24th

Sad day, a friends/neighbours funeral, it was a sudden death. Not really much I can say. Rest in peace.

I have a funny stomach, headache and bunged up ears. Maybe something to do with day or the heavy air we have got at the moment.
I am pleased today is over and I expect a lot of her friends and family are too.

26th

Age UK again. Quite busy again and very warm in there. Doing the drinks and quite a bit of washing up. I was asked if I could do more. I said not right now as I don't want to push it too much and get ill again. I have a lot of pain in my joints again almost like someone gnawing on them. Humid air again, so have still got a funny head.

Andrews parcel arrived yesterday. I was well surprised it only took two days to get there, Amsterdam.

27th

Lindsay here with all the gang. Lindsay has her shorts on and is quite brown. My legs are still lilly white.

I did Jamie-Lee hair for her.

 Very pretty.

Back view. Bit of a Bjork thing going on I think.

Jay-jay and Jamie-Lee stayed with me while Lindsay took Tommy-Lee to get some football boots. Lionel Messi ones, because that's who Tommy-Lee likes. Messi plays for Barcelona.

 Jay-Jay.
Lindsay said they had found there perfect coke bottles.

A nice day, outside a lot of it. Tired but feeling alright apart from joint pain. Hopefully I will get to see the Doctor on Monday. I had a phone call my blood is not right so I need to see him soon.

28th

My daughter, Lindsay, reminded us today that this time last year I was in Hospital again. I have come a long way since then. My weight is normal for me and no seizures for a month. I feel a lot better as well.
Just hope I keep out of there.

29th

Paul got me an appointment with the Doctors to see whats going on with my blood. I am very down on my B12 and anaemic again. I asked him about my stomach and after an examination, he thinks it was a bug. I am to start the B12 INJECTIONS  again. I thought my blood was wrong because of the way I feel. Headache really tired and I just feel like I have no go in me. The injections will take time to boost me up they are to start next week.

At the moment we are enjoying, or some of us are, very warm weather, hotter than abroad. I can cope with the heat I acutely feel warm even my legs.
Well another month gone, Hope you are all as well as can be. Love Gill.

To finish Summer as a Pup about eight or nine weeks old.
