June 1st
Outside a lot of the day putting in plants. Look really good now. There are a few more plants that I have seeded that are too small yet, but, when ready they will fill in nicely. Soon after I finished it rained so that was good, and I did not have to water them. Of course rainwater is better than tap water.

The carpet man came to day. He should have come yesterday but got stuck on a job. He said a lot of the problem is the floor, most older terrace houses are similar. He did restretch the carpet again and I think it's better now. Just to get everything back into the cupboards again. Paul and I got the cupboards back in and left it at that. I know it will be me putting everything back again. I will do it bit by bit no rush, other things to do.
4th
Appointment with dermatologist at Gainsborough hospital to look at the little growth on my nose. Going there we got stuck behind a tractor and trailer, behind that a six car carrier, plus a three car one behind them all, then us. Eighteen miles an hour. I thought we would be late as a long windy road, no safe way to pass them. The tractor turned off so did the bigger car carrier. We then was able to speed up a bit. Got to the hospital in plenty of time, they were running a bit late as well.
The Doctor said the growth was sun damage, called ACTINIC KERATOSES and not skin cancer like my own Doctor had said. I was very relieved. She did freeze it off with LIQUID NITROGEN this is called CRYOTHERAPY, hurts a lot. Only around ten seconds of freezing but very painful. The pain went into my eyes and head, hurt for quite a while. I took extra tablets that helped quite a bit. We went and had breakfast at Tesco's even though it was afternoon, very nice too. A look round the store well.
5th
Nose a bit sore but not painful. I rung up friends and family to tell them what I had bean told and the outcome. As hardly anyone knew they were surprised at what I told them. Very pleased at the end result.
6th
I was supposed to have an appointment to see the Doctor about my wrist but, was cancelled yesterday. I will get another appointment soon. This is the wrist I had the STEROID INJECTION in on 19th April. The ligament is torn and he is hoping the INJECTION will help it repair. I think the injection has worked quite well but its how long it will last as still pain relief from injection? Hopefully for a long time as I do not want to have surgery on it.
8th
Luna is very itchy, and smells of horse poo as well, as she like to roll in it, like a lot of dogs do. So she is going to have a bath to day, hopefully that will help. Bit more knitting and sewing up hats and mitts. Started a balaclava as well. Going well, these are for the War children through Andy' Mum Hilary.
I brushed Luna and put cream on a sore patch on her ear after her bath. She loves the hairdryer and stands there like a little model. A bit later one clean soft dog with a lovey smell. Not horse sented one like she was earlier
Cooked a roast dinner, but the beef was chewy so not the best. Cleaned up as well so very tired later.
11th
Scab from my nose sore has dropped off now, my nose looks a bit red but smooth now not a lump. I do not think there will be a scar either.
12th
I was going to Pilates today, but Jo sent a message saying that it was not on this week.
I have started knitting some more of the Izzy dolls again These are also for the war children though Oxfam.
Got a late night phone call from Paul's Brother Malcolm, that he was not well and could we go round. Paul was in bed and had bean for a long time. Malcolm looks after his wife Pam, she is disabled from a stroke and hemorrhage. He said he had not bean able to put her to bed at her usual time around around three and a half hours ago. I got Paul up and we set off to Malcolms. When we got there Pam was in bed. He had bean able to do it in-between being sick. He thinks it was either onions or fish he had had that day that made him unwell. We stayed around two hours and he looked a lot better and he said felt it as well. We set off for home around three am.
Andrew had looked after Luna and he said she was very good and did not cry at all. Good girl Luna. Paul soon went to bed after a cup of tea. I stayed up for while as I do not go to bed till early morning anyway.
13th
Washing ironing, a bit warm for that, at least it's done now, all Paul's stuff. 27C today and very humid. More knitting too- going well getting quite a bit done using up my scraps of wool for the Izzy dolls.
15th
Busy day changed bedding washed it all. Cleaned up down stairs. I did not cook tea as Paul did his own. I had a microwave Mac and cheese, these are the ones that Andrew has and they are really good.
17th
A very warm day and humid as well. Did over two hours ironing very hot at the end. I did keep stopping to have a drink, at last it was finished. Watered the garden later, nearly dark when finished but a lot cooler now.
19th
Luna's hair cut by Maxine as usual. She was very good while she cut her face, as last time she played up. This time it was her legs she did not want doing. In the end Maxine got her all done. Luna lent forward and gave her a kiss and shush a sweet little look. Treats did not make any difference today. I think she was tired after her walk. Last time she had not bean out for her walk and played up. May be she doesn't like haircuts.
20th
Started putting back some of the dining room cupboard things. This takes a long time as loads of them to do. I got a start on them at least.
I have had a very heavy headache for around a week now. The air has bean extremely stormy and quite hot (but no storm to clear the air) so I think its that. I go to bed with a headache and get up with one as well. This drains a lot of life out of me and I feel very sluggish.
21st
Happy Birthday Andrew Hope you have a good day. I think he liked the things we got him. He still has more to come. We had Indian for tea followed with a mixed fruit cheese cake very nice too.
22nd
Cleaned all up stairs very hot and humid at least I got it all done. Finally finished around six PM. Very tired as well and hot, looking forward to a nice bath later.
24th
Cleaned up most of down stairs did not finish as knee appointment later.
Got my knee injection today a STEROID one, this went very well but painful. Very hot in the waiting room, a different Doctors surgery to my usual one. I could hardly breathe. The other people were trying to fan themselves with books and papers. At least the treatment room was cool.
A few bits of shopping in town then home. By the time I got home my knee hurt a lot more. The Doctor said to rest it but I was ok to walk home around a mile and half to two miles. She also said the operation I had to repaired two tears in my MENISCUS CARTILAGE left knee, was not done now. She said it can make it worse.
Night time, early morning when most people are in bed, the pain from my knee was bad. I rubbed on some IBUPROFEN to numb it and took extra pain stuff. This helped a bit and I was able to get to bed just be for the birds woke up for their sing song.
25th
Knee quite sore and swollen today, the walk on the common was painful. Luna comes first so a bit of extra pain will not prevent me from going on the common. The common to me is like a magical place where you can be free. Luna loves it so did Summer, Sandy and Dusty my past dogs. People who have dogs and do not take them out do not deserve to have them. Unless they can exercise themselves in the garden of course. Even then, dogs are like people they like to see their friends. I know Luna does.
Finished off the cleaning and washed kitchen and bathroom floors.
26th
My B12 injection today this did not hurt too much. The Nurse said it's how you do it. She always does them very slow and steady. Some do not and they hurt a lot more.
27th
Today Andrew has asked to go to Milton Keynes. To a "National Film and Sci-Fi Museum". To start with I did not think I would be able to go, as car trips bring on pain most of the time, also pain can bring on seizures.. It's a long way from Lincoln around two hours. I did go but suffered mostly in silence just kept popping the pills.
This place has so much in it Star trek, Star wars, things off TV, forgotten programs from long ago, Adams family, Doctor Who, plus many, more. A great day out and the staff were amazing. Questions answered and showed us things we might have missed as the place was jammed with many props, some actually from the films themselves, some from private collections. Most of the time we were the only ones there. Andrew has lots a collection of Star Trek memorabilia, collected over a few years and himself as a long time fan. A long painful day, but hopefully worth it as tomorrow will tell. I did enjoy it so much and I was so pleased I went.
28th
I really hurt today every where. Hopefully it will wear off, as I get going. I did the ironing and rested after yesterday's outing. Pain got a bit less but still bad, but like I said, it was worth it.
30th
Eye test today and more than likely new glasses. Yep two new pair the one that checked my eyes said the left one had got a lot worse. I know my left eye was not as good, as I was finding it hard to read some of the small print on my knitting patterns. I left the shop over two hundred pounds lighter for two pairs of glasses. Reading and distance ones with tints- reactalight. Will be ready in around ten days.
Rory needs a dog pushchair/pram now as his hips are bad. Mary pushes him in it to the common from her house which is about a mile away. He has a run round, then home in it again. Luna wanted to have a go as well. Rory even moved up for her.
Not too bad a month this time and a trip out. Knee sorted and B12. New glasses soon as well. Paul's Brother better too. Mostly good month. Hope you are all well and content. All the best love Gill.
