July

July 1st

Luna did not have a good night, she was in her basket, out again, in again. I think it was too hot for her, around 20C + through the night and very humid. I know I was quite hot as well. She can sleep later after her walk.

We had a good walk on the common  there was a cool breeze, so it was very nice walking along with Luna chasing every thing that moved. She has this thing with fluffy white feathers, she acts like she is scared of them, then does this little like dance thing, then lunches forward and eats the feather, very strange.

Later Luna did have a long sleep so I was able to get on with a bit of knitting

3rd

Pilates-went on my bike it was lovely biking along cool breeze. After our Pilates work out we did some Tyche this is the one the Monks do so a bit faster than the usual one. I really enjoyed it a few of the ladies said it was a bit fast for them.

I trimmed Luna's legs with a set of clippers I bought a few weeks ago. She looks like her legs have got longer now. She picks up the grass seeds from the common on her legs and at times her back. The seeds cause her a lot of problems as they get under her fur and then get trapped. The seeds make her bite her body so I have to try and comb them out for her. Hopefully now her fur is shorter the seeds will come straight out instead of getting trapped. I did have a few tips from Maxine her groomer, which helper a lot trimming her.

4th

Appointment at the hospital today about my wrist which was broken around two years ago. As usual the appoints were running late around two hours. No one at any time came out and said sorry we are running late It was not till I went into the doctor the nurse apologized for the lateness. In there around five minutes every thing Ok the STEROID injection I had in April- he said will still be giving me some pain relief. There will be another appointment around the end of October if needed.

5th

Cleaning up today down stairs today. Very hot and humid, sweating a lot. I got done around five thirty. Tired and hot Chinese for tea so no cooking today. This was very nice but I was too tired and hot to enjoy it.

6th

A very wet day rained most of the day thunder as well. I changed the bedding will wash tomorrow. Putting a few  pictures on my Blog. These are from Milton Keynes Museum we went to in June.

7th

Washed bedding plus other things, it dried very well and I was able to do the ironing later. very humid again. The rain we had has not really cooled the air at all.Bit more knitting still hats and gloves not much wool left now. I think this will be the last sets I do now around twenty five sets now so not bad.

8th

In the garden today, putting in the little plats I grew from seed. Watered every thing looking good. Cooked tea, pork steaks plus tatties and veg.

9th

Doing bedrooms still quite hot and humid. Got them all done but it was late around six pm.

10th

In town getting presents for my friend Jenny and Lindsay my daughter. Did all right and got I think some nice things.

12th

Starting taking the stuff out the shed so Paul can repair it mostly the floor. Some will go to the tip, the rest when done back in the shed.

I have a storm headache that I get when humid and hot. This feels like someone is squeezing my head  and neck. Not so much pain more background and so annoying. My neck feels very tight as well.

13th

Doing a bit more of the shed helping get nails out and sorting  things out. We moved the shed as well. Andy the man next door was a big help and we managed to move it to a safe place. Andrew my son and I were getting the nails out the wood that was going to the recycle center/tip and bagging it up. Also getting together the stuff to go there. We had to put some of the things back in the now floorless shed as there was chance of rain later.

14th

Cleaning up down stairs really bad head especially  when I bend down. Paul doing the shed. I broke my floor mop as well so need a new one. Hopefully Paul will get one on Friday when he goes shopping.

All the tip stuff in the car ready for tomorrow. Andy across the road has some things as well So did Andy next door an old car jack that had lost its power. This was going to be used to lift the shed but was had it.

Lindsay and Jamie-Lee plus Tracy came round for a bit. They all have bean on holiday in Turkey for a few days. Looking very tanned and relaxed. I think I could do with a few day somewhere nice, but I am restricted as how far I can go. The Milton Keynes trip was very painful for a few days.

15th

I still have a storm head ache, this has bean going on for around a week now. The RSD reacts to pressure and humidity When we have a storm this will end. Some how all the storms have bean elsewhere. We often get missed.

16th

Sorting out my crystal display cupboard today. I did the other display cupboards quite a while ago. The crystals need special handling and a lot of the time my hands can not do it. With RSD I can not always hold and keep hold of items and just drop them. So I wait till my hands are having a good day. I did do six shelves, so only two to go. These are the most expensive ones left to do, so it might be a few more days till my hands are good to finish the job. The times I have spilt my tea when I am holding my mug. Hot tea as well my hand just lets go, and burn my legs usually, or arms sometimes painful and sore.

17th

Light rain while on the common so hopefully there will be more rain to come. Every where is  dry. Even the spring on the common has dried up for now. I know if it rains enough it will flow again. Saw a few of Luna's friends while on the common

I did not go to Pilates, I feel very tired and still have this storm headache. I rung Jo up and left a message.

Still headache and my eyes are so dry they hurt. Storms and rain are coming this way so hopefully soon my head will be ok.

I was going to do a bit more of the  crystal cupboard but decided not to just have a rest instead.

19th

Quite hot over night 20 C. I did sleep but a disturbed one.  Five PM. A lot of places have had storms but not us.

21st

Helping Paul do the shed. This is in a different place on the lawn at the moment so it can get a new base which Paul is doing. I painted the end in red cedar wood preserver. Lindsay here later with Jamie-Lee she did go to her friends house close by, so I did not see much of her. Lindsay helped me tidy up outside after Paul.

23rd

Went to see Jenny today as its her Birthday on Saturday. Took her presents and card. She is away at her Nephews, for the weekend, hope she has a good time there. I had a lovely afternoon with her just talking and catching up. Soon it was time to go home, Paul picked me up. Got home had a bit of sit down then got the tea ready.

24th

No Pilates today it was raining quite hard and the journey is around five miles there. As I was going on my bike so I decided not to go today.

I made a bramble and apple crumble for tea but did not have it for tea, so it will be for tomorrow's instead.

As it was, the rain was quite bad throughout the day, so I was pleased I  decided not to go as I would have got soaked there and back

25th

Cleaned up down stairs, plus one lot of washing. At the moment as a lot of the shed contents are on the lawn, so not able to use rotary line. So I have to use the inside clothes airer instead, which I put outside. Mostly bean dry and quite warm today so things got dried quick.

Paul, Andrew and I moved the shed back to its base so soon everything will be back in it.

26th

Rest day, as I hurt most places deep down in my bones and I have a lot of mosquitos bites too. Also a lot of spinsters from the wood for the shed. Some I have got out, only little ones so not deep, more annoying than anything else.

27th

Helping in the garden again. I pained around the bottoms of the shed with black bitumen paint. I watered the garden as well as no hard rain since 24th (Pilates Day). I was going to do this Blog bring it up to date but no brain power left.

Later I noticed my wrist was very swollen and bruised, cuts as well. I think it was from when I slipped forward on it while holding a bit of wood for the shed door while Paul drilled it. The wrist does not really hurt too much, just a bit uncomfortable.

28th

Wrist still swollen and sore but not quite as bad as yesterday. Shed going quite well soon be back to normal the shed that is, can not say that for much else round here.

My right knee is quite swollen and sore today, it's the one I head the STEROID injection in on 24th June. The injection should sill still have some pain relief going in to it. Might just be the extras I have done over the past few weeks.

29th

Wrist about back to normal now quite a lot of cuts to be seen now the swelling has gone down.

Updating Blog on laptop today.

I have now put all the crystals back in the glass cabinet and they look good. Quite a hard job for me as I drop things and they are very delicate. Pleased they are all done now.

31st

I did get to pilates to day. A good session too I really enjoyed it. Very tired as up early around 7.45 am.

A steady month, bit more pain than usual, but not too bad you learn to cope. Hope you are all as well as can be and enjoying our UK hot weather.

I will put up pictures of crystals in cabinet in August's Blog also pictures of at mitts sets I have made.

All the very best Love Gill.
