Gills RSD (CRPS)

March

1st March

Early hours around 4-00am I was sitting with my legs up, Time for bed I said to Summer and stood up, my toe went into a massive spasm and curled under itself. The pain was terrible and starting to go up my leg. I tried to release it but it was solid locked. All I could do was hold it to stop it from getting any worse and locking up my leg also. After a while I managed to free it enough to move my toe. Still very painful, by now I was sweating trying not to panic. Finally the toe released only to go back into spasms seconds later despite me holding it. After an hour I was able to walk and finally go to bed. Even then it kept going into a smaller spasms.

Next morning my leg ached and was very tight.

Pilate's today as well, going on my bike, this could help maybe or not. I think why my toe did this is a combination of RSD and varicose veins that soon will need sorting out with surgery. Anyway I got there OK and did my class of Pilates, fair bit of pain in shoulders but otherwise alright. Toe behaved but quite tight. On the way back I went the long way as it was a lovely day, 11.4 miles biking I know it was peddle assisted but I still need to turn the peddles I was quite pleased with myself anyway.

Wayne is now back at home, he needs to rest and build himself up again. Timmy cat was very pleased to see him. Hope things go better for you now Wayne.

My friend Joy had an accident and fell of the bus. She has badly broke her left elbow and damaged her knee, hip and foot. I will go and see her tomorrow at her house as its close to where I have ACCUE tomorrow.

2nd

Accue treatment was done by Candy, Nasen, Bret and Jason, as the Tutor. In all 21 needles in my shoulders, back 9, stomach 5, legs 5, and head 2. At one time I had three students all working on me. The foot right ones were very painful and made me jump quite a few times. My shoulder ones were very very painful with strange feeling all over the place. The stomach ones were weird apart from feeling very tight. Jason turned or pressed the needle and straight away felt very hot and light headed, I told him how I felt and he turned it the other way and instantly I felt cold with like a fan on me. I have had a awful lot of sweating lately, so they are trying to cool me down. This worked very well, The tablets I am on are well known for this and also the RSD as well. These needles have a lot to do as usual. After the needles were removed Nasen did a very gentle massage and tapping treatment this was very soothing. Little bit dizzy when I got up after laying face down for a while, this soon passed, all done and ready to go.

Off to Joys house to see how she is. Joys arm is in plaster with a sling to support it. She is in a lot of pain hopefully this will be lessen in a few days, when the break settles down. Spent a few hours with her then home to a Chinese tea which I picked up on the way back, Good it was too, curry sauce, chips and rice for me. Tired today I have walked quite a few miles this week.

3rd

No Age UK to start with as I have a DEXTER SCAN today at the hospital, this is to check my OSTEOPOROSIS I will go in to Age UK later to see if I am needed. The scan went well, the Nurse said I am the same height as last time 2010 so that is good also the same weight.

Age UK did not need me to work so I had a cup of tea, and just did the shopping then home.

Bruises on my stomach and right shoulder, plus one on my right foot have come out quite a large one on my right shoulder.

Poor Joy has water coming through her ceiling so needs a plumber fast. Poor Joy that's all she needs.

Angela has a chest infection so she is not good also, You need to recover as live screening of Hedda Gabler next Thursday. She in on ANTIBIOTICS so should recover very quick.

4th

On my own all day (sorry Pup almost on my own), as Paul has a IA meeting.
Cleaning up downstairs. Summer had two walks.

The bruise on my leg and hip where my hip clicked out is getting better bruise faded a lot now not to much pain now. Other bruises still a bit tender. Hurt quite a lot while having DEXTER SCAN. A quite day, resting a bit and cuddling Pup.

Lindsay is not having a good time her headaches are still very bad but nothing is getting done Sheffield lot blame each other for mistakes and appointments are not done. So worrying for everyone and so bad for Lindsay.

5th

Left hip very sore today otherwise my lumps and bumps have settled down now. After quite a busy week I feel tired but good, hopefully very soon my legs will be able to RUN.
A lot of pain in my joints today as well, the sort that does not go away. Made sitting down very uncomfortable. My fingers are not good, loss of feeling, grip not good either. Fingers very cold and lot of shooting pain though out my body.

6th

Jay-Jays Birthday, he's thirteen, hardly seems possible. I was there when he was born, he has heart trouble so when she was in the last stages, his heart rate dropped to a few beats a minute Lindsay and him were raced to theatre for a emergency cesarean section. Lucky they were able to use forceps as he was so far down. I held him before Lindsay as she was still sedated. He sucked my neck and I joked that he was a Vampire. The Nurse who had no sense of humour did not think it was funny, she was more interested in telling me how to dress Jay-Jay (unnamed then). He still has a few
problems. Well before he was born, they detected a hole in the heart. This needs checking every so often but does not bother him too much now. Lindsay was very drowsy otherwise she was alright.

Paul and I are going to see him tomorrow as he is at his friends today after school.

7th

Lindsay is coming here tonight for tea instead of us going there. That will be better for me as well.

We got Jay-Jay clothes, but he has already got the same ones. He thinks I got him them at Christmas or he did with his Christmas money. Shows we both have the same taste then. so I need to exchange them for something else. He had a few other bits as well. The night went well but very noisy.

8th

Pilate's today on my bike I still hurt everywhere so I don't know how it will go, might help sometimes does. Very windy going but mostly back or side so not too bad I hope it drops a bit going home. The sessions was not too bad I did what I could, no arms one up in the air, but most of the rest.

Still very windy coming home, as I expected head on and a lot stronger too. Two to three miles from home, the battery ran out. The extra strain with the wind drained it more than usual so less miles.
I had to pedal, with out pedal assisted, with almost gale force head wind. Hard going I had to get off at one point as my legs would not turn the pedals. I think the last two miles felt like five at least.
Anyway I made it home very tired and pain everywhere. I did get some daffodils from the road side though.

Angela has trapped her finger in a door at work so she has gone to A and E. Not looking too bad though, nothing broken.

9th

Cleaning up down stairs. Angela called to pick me up as tonight we are going to see a live performance of Hedda Gabler beamed from London's National Theatre via satellite. This was written in 1907 by a Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. Hedda being cast by Ruth Wilson. She played a bored young lady just married, looking for excitement. She is also early pregnant. Good but a bit strange to start with as there was a lot going on. I enjoyed it and managed to work it all out. Not a happy ending for her because she shot herself. A good night for me and most of the pain I was able to knock back with a load of tablets.

10th

Age UK, last day for Gwen our chef. She did not want any fuss so people just said goodbye to her in their own way with a little gift and card or cuddle. Quite a few extra tablets today as pain still bothering me.
Also I found out Calum is leaving next week to start a new job that he did before he came here, wood working. He will learn as he goes along. I wish him all the best. At least he still has a year in catering to fall back on if things don't work out.

13th

Saw ten week old Husky and a eight -nine month one. Andrew would have loved them both.
The younger pup was the same size as Summer. I know next time he will be a lot bigger than her. Summer liked him a lot and was licking him.

We walked round the common with a friend of Summers called Megan, she is two and very similar to Summer at that age, going in the water and mud.

My little Robin friend I feed with bits from home. There are two of them, more likely a mating pair, but as yet not being able to get a picture of them together. Last week when I had no camera they were both there. Also a few days earlier there was a squirrel eating along side the Robin.

Summer will let me do anything with her as the bond between us is very strong she even went to sleep in this hat.

Wayne is doing better now and has not bean sick for a few days. He is still very weak and two stone lighter. All the best Wayne keep going you will soon be better..

14th

Fair night slept around four hours--- yes that's a good night.

From four today Radio 1 is doing LOL (laugh out loud) Athlon --- twenty four hours of telling jokes with Scott Miles and Chris Starke, no sleep and only breaks when songs are on. I have listened to Radio 1 since I was around ten. Jay-Jay and Tommy-Lee thinks its great when they can ask me about the latest tunes.

My hips today are sore, probably after biking Wednesday, also left eye is dry and painful again, probably the wind, hopefully.

15th

Pilate's again still quite painful for me. The day is very sunny and mild more like Summer than spring. Paul took me today as we are at an Afternoon Tea very soon after with Paul's IA group. They have bean going as a support group for 50 years.

The tea was lovely very nicely set out cup and saucers and tea pots too. Everything very tasty. I was sharing with a lady who was not keen on sandwiches, liking more cakes. I am more savoury so between us we cleared the whole tea. A very pleasant afternoon.

Wayne phoned up he is doing better now, Lindsay is not so good a lot of head pain. I feel for her. I know what its like to be in constant pain most of the time. After a while people are not really interested or don't understand what you are going through. Andrew is well.

Accue today Candy treated me on her own. Mostly working on my back shoulders and arms. Three needles in each arm and fourteen in back and shoulders. Very painful at times. Candy did a massage too on my upper back, shoulders and arms. A painful session all round today.

After I went to see Joy, she is suffering with her arm and various parts that are sore and bruised.

Lindsay spoke to acting GP, she asked when she will hear from any pain specialists. She was told the letter went today. She could not believe what she heard this was first agreed in DECEMBER LAST YEAR. If I could afford to give her money to go private I would. Just not fair to see her suffer like this not when things can be done. I don't think they know what to do because its rare.

prescription. I did it on line and received confirmation on line also, so I know they did. Makes you think what the health treatment is coming too. Try to get an appointment with your own Doctor-- booked up for two three months ahead. I like to see mine as he understands a bit of RSD and my problems. Too many patients taken on but sadly its the same every where.

Summer wants to play, but Suey would sooner sleep all day. I think Suey thought Summer was stopping for her Holidays like she does when we go away. As we left I am sure she gave a big sigh of relief and went back to sleep.

22nd

Pilate's Hope this is a bit better than last week. A lot of pain then, No-- about the same still hurts a lot in shoulder and legs. I used BIOFREEZE something I used to use a lot of when I first got RSD Only problem it can make me feel very cold to the point of shuddering. This helped today but its only short lasting so has to reapplied a lot of time. Where TIGER BALM lasts a lot longer, but for instance relief its very good and not as strong smell as TIGER BALM when I put it on for Pilates it can be a bit over powering but soon clears the airways and not just mine either.

Over the last few days I have taken a lot more IBRUES and DIAHYDROCODEINE tablets.

23rd

Joy came here today I gave her the baby things I have made and she is very pleased with them all. They will be with her Niece very soon as she is going to see her. She now has her plaster off her arm (17th) but is still suffering a lot with pain.

Now back to tiny knitting again, more 4" doll things like I made Jamie-Lee. I went from aran wool to 3 ply. If you are not a knitter-- aran is a thick wool knitted on almost pencil like needles, and 3 ply is just about the finest wool for general knitting using almost wire thin needles. So it takes a bit of adjusting.

Age UK again soon comes around, I look forward to this day as it can take the pressure of the family things going on. Everything there seems a lot less stressful, for me any way not everyone would agree. A steady day but still busy with all the things I do.

25th

I bought some "FREEZE GEL Masterplast" from Poundland, similar to BIO FREEZE it works well a lot cheaper than BIOFREEZE the affect does not last as long, but for a pound it does a good job.

Went into the greenhouse and found this little chap asleep, its warm in there and sheltered from the wind.

26th

Mothers Day and got cards from Wayne and Andrew and tulips from Lindsay. The boys are getting me something later.

Went to see my Mum also and took some flowers. I went on my bike and the chain came off I managed to get it back on but got very oily hands.

I was to have all three Grandchildren but only Tommy-Lee came as the other two were with there Dad. Never mind nice to have one to one with Tommy.

27th

You can tell spring is about as there's Greenfly in the garden. Sprayed the whole garden and next doors roses. Hopefully the lady birds will get rid of some of them as I have seen quite a few on the roses. Hopefully the spray has not got them too.

28th

At last Lindsay is getting her promised scan, hopefully things then will get going for treatment. Paul is taking her as it's at Sheffield. This gives her a violent headache for the rest of the day at least.

29th

Pilates on my bike, Paul took me last week.. I like going on my bike this week I got to 20 miles an hour on pedal assisted. Slight back wind and a flat road. I usually average around 14-15 miles an hour. The round trip as I have said in the past is over eleven mile so is a good ride.

Pilates went well but again a lot I could not do because of pain in my shoulders. Still a good session.

Angela came round as I just got back, so good timing. We are going to see Miriam, (Angela used to clean and shop for her) tomorrow as its her Birthday, she's 80 years old.

Fish and chips from the local chippy, good too but such a lot, Summer has fish for her tea tomorrow

31st

Age UK again one minute they were just a few customers then loads. I made around thirty machine drinks, like cappuccinos etc. Very busy my wrist and elbows hurt a lot today many tablets taken to try and ease the pain. Still it is there-- I think the wrist pain is carpel tunnel, as my fingers keep changing colour and the pain is the same as last time in the three fingers. Not really any shopping today so more or less straight home. I did get a few things from a charity shop though.

I have the weekend on my own as Paul is away at an IA conference.

Well here we are at the end of March. Bean a hard month for me in a lot of ways, PAIN and wanting to do so much and getting knocked back all the time. I am pleased I have my knitting and other craft work to do. Hopefully my hands and arms will not get any worse or that will be impossible.
Other wise I think I would have gone mad by now, or may be I am already am.

February

Well here we are in February I think January seemed a long month, to me any way.

1st February

My Brother and Sister in law called in, they are both doing better now after the accident in their car last year. Good to see them, I asked if they would take me to Pilate's so I could see them a bit longer they said yes. Paul is not driving at the moment as he has eye problems.

Pilate's one word-- painful. I think just about everywhere hurt. Electric shocks in my fingers going up my arm on the right side. Right shoulder is hypersensitive too, in fact most of the rest of me is too but not as bad as shoulder. You probably know the feeling, ants crawling on the skin and frequent electric shocks.

2nd

Woke to bad spasms in my legs very painful, hopefully ACCUE will help today as I have a session.

The student today was Nansen, on his own. 16 needles in my shoulders and arms. These were very painful with strange reactions of extra pain, cold and hot sensations shooting all over. The needles are very fine but felt like knives in my right side. The neck ones I think were the worst. Nansen said my neck was very bad the worst he had seen it. He asked if I had extra pain YES I said a lot. He could feel the crackle and movement of the ARTHRITIS I have there. This is not usually a problem, well not a big one it does play up from time to time, but I can usually cope with it.
Needles also in my legs, 3 in each, these were painful as well. Next after a few minutes rest as I had bean laying face down for about twenty minutes, so he likes me to rest a while, before any other treatment is started. A lovely massage followed of my neck, shoulders, back, arms and legs.. Nice but still painful today.

Saw my older brother and his girlfriend later in town as I did my shopping. Home then for a rest Nansen said not to over do it for the next few days as this was a big treatment.

3rd

A sunny windy day but cold. Angela here for a cup of coffee. A lot of pain still plus the pain from the ACCUE a few bruises and lumps have appeared. Still ants feeling over shoulders. The ACCUE usually makes me feel worst to start with, then helps mostly.

4th

Another very cold day (washing out for the first time in a week) this made my headache at the bit where I bumped it on Jan 1st, just about healed now.

Went to the crematorium to take flowers for my Parents and Brother, Summer went too its quite a long way for her about two and half plus miles, may be more. Very cold wind that felt like it took my head off. On the way back we met up with some young Travelers. I spoke to them for a while then headed for home. They had three dogs with them and Summer was a bit uneasy. I reassured her and she calmed down. I was pleased to get in out the cold. Summer was very tired and had a sleep.
I sat down had a cup of tea and did a bit of knitting. I am making baby clothes for Joy for a relation who gets a baby in June. Nice to be knitting bigger things after the tiny dolls things. A long while since I made little cardigans.

6th

A very frosty start to the day. Still more pain than I would like but who are we to chose. Cleaning the bedrooms, Paul is doing the computer room and me the rest. Now its getting lighter Summer has started getting two walks a day now, the afternoon one not as far.

Walking back they are usually a crop of snowdrops but this year they are a lot later. Last year late December and early January. I love Snowdrop and have a lot in the garden.

Head hurts a lot on the bump again not sure why unless its the cold air. This has bled a bit over night.

7th

Going to the pictures with Angela today to see "Sing" a cartoon animation film about animals auditioning for a singing competition. The trailer look good so hears to another good film.
The film was very good. Angela enjoyed it a lot and we both laughed.

8th

Pilate's went well, usual pain and soreness. B12 later, even this went well and did not hurt too much.

Lindsay not too good she has had a bad few days. Hopefully an appointment with a Doctor tomorrow will help and speed things up for treatment or whatever they are going to do.

9th

At last a day out to see my friend Bev in Beeston. We met up with Russ, her son, who I have known a long time, used to run with him. (Happy days). He spent a lot of time at our house even stopping a few nights. I took the dolly stuff for Bev's Granddaughter I have bean making she was so pleased with them. Very much the same as Jamie-Lee's set I made her for Christmas.

We went out for dinner/ Lunch and was both treated by Bev. A good day just catching up we visited a garden center and fish place. Bev bought two fish for her tank. Did not get home till about seven thirty a long day and was so cold when I got off the train. Bev lent me some gloves as I forgot to take mine, tired but very pleased I went.

10th

Age UK again very busy, slow to start but then--- a few bus loads. There was a bit of snow earlier so I think people were waiting to see what happen. Shopping, then home got a heavy load of bags, by the time I got home I hurt, fool should have got the bus, but I was going to drop a card off on the way home but hurt too much. I took it later with Summer, at least she was pleased.

11th

Got Tommy-Lee later I think. but he has not bean too well tonsillitis again, poor Tommy, he did end up coming here later. We watched a DVD called the Doll House, about a place wiping peoples minds and re programing them to become what ever the people paying, wanted them to be. Released in 2009. Very good I left Tommy to watch quite a lot on his own as I had already watched a few earlier in the week. Wayne bought me the box set for Christmas. Strange but very good. Tommy-Lee was still a bit off it, he said his throat still hurt him, but still managed to beat me at cards.

12th

Very cold wind, like ice, I think Summer even felt cold as she only had a little walk today and soon wanted to come home. She jumped up on my chair ready for her sleep I sat with her and she did feel cold. She was not the only one either.

Lindsay picked Tommy-Lee up about five. She has bean away for the weekend with Ben.

13th

Happy Birthday to me. Presents and cards very nice, my friend Lyn has bean to see me as well.
All the Lincoln family here for a Chinese takeaway for tea, good is was too. Jamie-Lee gets very excited and could hardly wait for my cake to be lit and they all sung Happy Birthday to me. A lovely day and Thank you every one.

14th

Woke early with a bad head, managed to get back to sleep. I have had quite a few mixtures from the HERBAL team but not felt much difference as yet. Sleeping is still the same, bed anywhere from three am to six am. People say how do you survive on so little sleep--- I say I don't know, I just do.

Went to Asda and bought a pair of leather boots and a shirt, exchanged a jumper too. Paul got me the boots and shirt for my Birthday.

Bad head again across the front I caught the cut with my hair brush and made it bleed quite a lot. This is certainly taking a long time to heal. (Happened New Years day)

Went on my bike for a test as I would like to go to Pilate's on it tomorrow if I can. Everything good and working well, felt good to be back on it again. My bike is electric or pedal assisted or ride as normal I usually have it on peddle assisted. Hopefully next month I would like to try and run again. I still miss it dreadfully and feel bad when I see people running. Some I know and they say are you back running yet? NO. A lady I know that lives in the street wants to run so we are hopefully starting in March.

15th

Short night again but I did have twenty minutes around four thirty am.

I am going on my bike to Pilate's the weather is milder but a cold wind again. The ride was good, apart from a car that pulled out a side road, I thought he was not going to stop, the driver wound down his window and put his hand up as if to say sorry.
Pilate's went OK but shoulder not good very painful and foot spasms again. Going home no problems apart from when I got home I had no key. I knew Paul would be home soon and he was. Trouble was Summer knew I was at the door and started crying not understanding I could not get in.

16th

A lot going on more than usual. Wayne is not too good started on some new tablets and they have made him feel very bad. Sick all the time. He is going to talk to his Doctor. He said he has not felt right for a while but did not want to worry me.

Lindsay is not good either, still no further with Hospital and Doctors. I don't think they know what to do, but meanwhile she is getting worse. The extra bit she has in her brain is now two parts and not one.

Andrew on the other side is doing well, work is going good. He has met someone he quite likes.

Me I have a lot of pain in my shoulders and knees.

Summer had her haircut today look at all that came off.

I saw some one that knows her and they said has she had lost weight? I said no- just a hair cut.

17th

Age UK busy again very tired at the end of my stint, Bit of shopping then on to the Doctors.

Picked up tablets on the way back, or at least tried to. The chemist said we have not received a prescription from the Doctors as yet. Done on line as usual so I went to the Doctors to see what was going on as this was put in on 11th Feb. They said NO its at the Chemist. Back there-- no they have not received this as all their incomings are logged. I said can you ring them as this so far has taken over half an hour. They spoke to each other and they agreed to write another prescription out. TWO DAYS they said---NO I said today, but a prescription needs two days. There are Doctors here now, get one of them to write it. I said its had nearly a week. I had to sit there till a Doctor sorted it out. One of the tablets I needed was the Morphine one OXYCODONE. If I don't get it I will go into withdrawal.

Finally got the prescription after all this, the chemist did not have OXYCODONE one. This is usually ordered as soon as they get the prescription- but because of the mess up it was not. With it being a controlled drug there are rules they have to follow. Tomorrow for certain. They said they have had a lot of people doing their prescriptions on line like me and got the same response I got. Not good enough over an hour wasted. On the way back to the chemist I noticed a poster saying "why are you waiting, do it online and it will be waiting for you". NO NOT TRUE. Home an hour and half after I first arrived at the chemist.
Very tired and in a lot of pain a sit down, tablets and a cup of tea helped.

18th

Got tablets from chemist as promised. She said they have made a lot of people happy today.
A nice sunny windy day washing out for the first time in ages dried too.

Wayne still bad if not worse, blood now coming up. I said maybe A and E?. Trouble is when you continued to be sick nothing is going in so you can become dehydrated very quickly.

Blue sky again what more can I ask for--well quite a lot really. Knees and shoulders very sore today.
I did quite a bit done in the garden today, looks nice now. Things are growing well and bits are coming up, not sure what some are but will know soon.

21st

Found out today that vitamin D can help stop colds. I take this twice a day (with CALCIUM) for OSTEOPOROSIS I have not bean getting many small colds since I first got RSD. I thought it was something to do with this. I still get nasty virus type things or flu that will last a few weeks though.

A lot of pain in my legs when sitting, bit like cramp/spasms without the tightness, nerve pain not good also knees are bad today.

Poor Wayne is still bad and worse, as he is so week and lost so much weight now still nothing stopping down. He says he is hot and shaking and smells. Even Timmy cat is keeping his distance. Poor Wayne. He has bean in touch with the Doctor again for advice.

22nd

Nana funeral today at least she got her 100th Birthday last year. A lot there, pleased she was remembered. A lovely lady, she had a long and varied life. Think what she has seen alter in the 100 years she has lived. Two wars, changes of Prime Mister, technology, fashion, plus many other things too. Lindsay and I did not go to the after buffet thing. I did not want to, Lindsay was not too good either we came back home here to be with Summer.

My pain has backed off a bit but I have bean taking a lot of IBRUES and DIHYDROCODINE.

23rd

Very wet and slippery on the common and so windy after the affects of storm "Doris". I slipped and pulled my hip out a bit, it does this from time to time often in Pilate's, well the pain made me scream out and frightened a few birds. I have to wiggle my leg and hip to get it back in again this itself is as painful, as I am not sure which way to take it. After a few very painful minutes, it went back to its place. The pain died down straight away to a more manageable level. Bit tender the rest of the day but not too bad but I am on a lot of pain stuff.

Joy came round and I showed her the baby cardigans, she was very pleased and loved them, two down and two to go. I made an extra one from me. I will post a picture later when all are done.

Lindsay also called in, she is looking bad, she had words with the Doctor and he is trying to hurry things up as day to day she is getting no better, a lot worse. This is a tremendous worry for us and terrible for her

Later when I had my bath there was a bit of bruising around the hip..

24th

A very large purple bruise around my hip, swollen too, feels quite sore.. I showed Paul and he was shocked.

This just came up after my trip!!

I don't tend to make too much of my pain as people are not really interested as it is on going all the time.

Age UK one word--MANIC--busy none stop all the time up till about two o'clock. Even then we had people in asking for meals. This place is very popular. Not surprised how cheap it is. My hip hurt with being on my feet all the time.

Bit of Shopping, buttons for cardigans I have made. Also picked up tickets for a live show, screened from London theatre Angela and I are going to on March 9th called Hedda Gabler.

Wayne has bean admitted to Halifax Hospital and is in a bad way he can not keep anything down and is severely dehydrated and bringing up blood. They have put him on a drip which he says has made him feel a bit better. Also Xrays of chest done and blood taken. To start with they could get none as his veins had shrunk. Later he was transferred to Huddersfield Hospital. He has bean in touch and still nothing will stop down. Poor Wayne all on his own so far away.

25th

Bruise still as big and a lot blacker-painful at times.

Wayne has bean in touch and is about the same still nothing will stay down not even water, still on the drip. They are thinking this is more than a reaction to the tablets, so more tests are to be done.

Got Tommy-Lee and Jamie-Lee to sleep tonight as Jay-Jay is having a teenage sleep over with his friends. This way he will not be bother by his sister. Have a good time Jay-Jay soon will be your Birthday-- 6th March then you will be a teenager. Look out Lindsay this is where it all starts. hope he is not as bad as you was!!!!!

The children were good and both slept well but bed time a bit later than usual. Tommy has football tomorrow but not till the afternoon.

26th

Jamie-Lee was up and not happy with Tommy-Lee because he went back to bed.
Most of the day with Jamie-Lee playing. We did a 200 piece puzzle that glowed in the dark, plus one of Jamie-Lee 100 piece ones. she is good at puzzles and enjoys doing them.
They both decorated biscuits later in the day.

Tommy-Lee was picked up for football after Jay-Jay and two of his friends plus Tommy-Lee went Trampolining. This was a good time for them and they all enjoyed it. Jamie-Lee stayed here with me and was picked up around 8.30pm. She was tired and ready for bed. I think they all were.

27th

Spoke to Wayne he is still in Hospital but doing better and feels more like he should. Still on a drip, he will be there for a few more day yet, as still being sick but no blood now. This in itself is a great relief for him and us. He is having a camera down his throat tomorrow--- also a scan.

28th

Had an herbal appointment today. We discussed how I have bean since last time. I said the tea I will carry on with, not any of the other tinctures. I don't think they are doing much to help me and they are not cheap either .I hope to reduce my OXYCODONE soon. Maybe then I will try some more herbal mix to boost me a bit.

Summer had her booster injection as usual, no trouble, she got a treat as well. Tracy took us both in the car, Jamie-Lee came too and she said Summer was very brave. Jamie-Lee had her injections last week.

Well another mixed month a lot of downs plus a few ups but that's life. All the very best to you all

1st

Happy New Year to everyone.

Well I started off the year with a BANG walked into the bathroom door causing a deep gash and a bump to my forehead. The force of the impact knocked me back on to the bathroom sink, this in turn hurt my right hip. The head bleeding went on for quite a while. I decided not to go to the Hospital as I was feeling alright, a bit dizzy to start but that soon passed and I was not knocked out, in a lot of pain though. Sat down the rest of the night. I was a bit worried how my body would react to this. May be more pain or a seizure. NO just the the bump and a big headache-- I was so pleased. Still bleeding hours later Paul put a dressing on it for me.

2nd

Head very sore and still bleeding, dressing on still, not doing too much today. That is apart from taking Jay-Jay to get him some shoes. This did not go well as no one had any that would fit, or he liked, at Clark's both shops plus various cheaper ones. With this being a Bank Holiday the shops also shut early. Paul even took us to Sainsbury's. I rung up first and they were open till 7-00pm, yes the store was but not the shoe shop. Wasted journey? Not quite-- I got a new mixer and Andrew some new shoes. Bad head later and very tired.

3rd

Pilate's, first one of the year, Joy not here she has a bad back. I went on the bus today. A good session but I felt quite stiff specially around my hip where it hit the sink. Other wise quite good but made my head bleed again. Came back with a pounding head. Took a few IBRUES that helped a lot.

5th

My Daughter got a new washing machine yesterday in place of her broken down one, it was through the insurance. This I am pleased about so I don't have to do her washing any more. This time of the year there is no good days to dry them. Many of the children's tops with logos can't go in the dryer. I know she is pleased as before Christmas they said they were gong to repair it.

A nice sunny day, washed the bedding and managed to get it dry outside. A lovely walk on the common with Summer. Cold but nice. I know Summer enjoyed it and was running around like a little Pup.

I have a lot of pain today, joints and head also. I feel like my body is detached from brain today, a far away feeling. Not sure if this is the bump or ????.

Summer had another walk later with Andrew also. She was very Pupped up and excited like she was meeting someone. We half expected a dog to be waiting for her on a corner. Very cold tonight sharp frost I think later.

6th

Age UK today again. On the way I took a jacket back for Jay-Jay waited in the queue for ages. While there a lady stole a coat, the staff went after her and got it back. She was then questioned by the security man, one of the shop assistants said. This made me a bit late but Nill's was not too bothered as he knew I would be coming in. We were quite busy too.

7th

A quite day, Lindsay's not here so just the three of us, Andrew here still. Plus Summer as well.

My head is still a bit sore and headache, still it is healing, but slow, but I suppose it's early days, still less than a week.

Still a bit nasty looking.Taken today.

I have bean waking up the last few morning really sweating. I had this a bit back but I thought it had settled down, I was wrong, makes my short nights even shorter. I did wonder if it was the HERBAL TINCTURE I am taking from the Herbalist at the college..I will keep taking it for a while and see if I can come to some conclusion.

9th

Got two little extra ones today-- Nes asked if I would look after Emmie (4) for her, her brother Ben (9) came round a bit later to get her and ended up stopping while their Dad got tea. They both had a good time playing so did Summer. Neither of them really wanted to go home and Summer wanted them to stay too.

Pilates today this was taken by Jeff this time. A good session I thought some of the other ladies were not too sure, as it was a bit faster than Jo's classes. Joy has still got a bad back so was not here.

Summer has had a few extra afternoon walks with Andrew and I, she enjoys these. She is a dog that would walk all day-- or be satisfied with her usual trot in the Morning. Easy to please she is.

Lindsay called in and advised me to have my head checked out. I am going to ACCUE tomorrow and that is near to the Walk in Centre ( like A&E) so I will call in after. A few people have said I should have it checked as its very slow to heal. This was a deep gash though, I don't think they will do anything now though.

Knitting later, these are more little doll cribs plus clothes for four inch dolls, presents for two little girls later in the year.

12th

Joy is here here today still having a lot of trouble with her back. I have lent her some knitting patterns for baby things as her niece is having a baby later on in the year.

We both went into town together on the bus. I carried on to ACCUE. Bought them up to date with everything and showed them my head I had a dressing on it as it bled last night after my bath.

ACCUE treatment was this-- By Candy with Hassim and Fangi looking in. Four needles in each knee, one in each wrist, one in my head and also ear seeds to help with relaxing. They asked about the TINCTURE I was given I said it has not helped me much if at all, also about the sweating. Hopefully the ACCUE treatment will help. Over time this has become less affect.

Called at the Drop in Centre and saw a very nice Doctor who looked at my head. She agreed it was a deep gash. I should have gone on the day I did it she said and asked why I did not. I said it was January 1st all the people who had accidents last night would have bean there, so I did not feel like going to wait for hours. (I have bean before for various things and waited ages) She said I should still have gone the next day. Maybe I should have.

Nothing needs to be done now and she asked why I had come today. I said because everyone said I should have it checked, and it was slow healing. She said it would take time to heal as it was so deep. If I had gone on the day it would have had a few stitches. Not possible now because of the skin around the wound started to heal. I am to look for any infection in case it gets infected it would possibly infect the bone. No need for a dressing unless it bleeds again.

Later I banged my head in the bath. I put the bath mat upside down and tried to turn it over while sat on it and leaned forward too far and bumped my head on the tap. Only a little bump but enough to make it open up again and bleed again.

13th

A cold day, snow in places and we had a flutter earlier. Some places have had a few inches and are quite bad with Schools and work places shut. A bit of Snow and Britain falls apart. Very cold on the common but Summer enjoyed it a lot.

Age UK today Nills said it had bean a mixed week with some busy and slow bits. One lady always seems to be in everybody's way and today she was the worst ever. In places she should not be, and doing things she should not be doing. I even had to ask Nills to have a word with her. An accident waiting to happen. Well the rest of the day was alright.

15th

Last day here for Andrew as he is going back home to Amsterdam today. He has bean here a lot longer this time. Arriving 20th December. We will miss him, Summer will a lot and I know she will cry. Paul is taking him to Doncaster Airport for 2-55pm flight. They got off on time too which was good. I took Summer for her walk late after we all said goodbye. I thought this would help her.

Coins Andrew left for rent while he was here-- GOLD, NO CHOCOLATE. Thank you Andrew.

We had a good walk and she seemed fine when we got back not looking for Andrew at all.
She did get very mucky as this dog kept jumping on her wanting her to play.

About 4-00 pm (Amsterdam an hour ahead) Paul had a message saying that Andrew had landed and everything was good.

17th

Sorting out bedrooms and general house work.

Paul, Lindsay and the boys are at Lincoln v Ipswich tonight. This is the first Lincoln match they have bean to. Lincoln are expected to win as well. Lincoln did win in the last few minutes. The boys enjoyed it so much and they were on TV's Calendar News doing an interview. They were so excited. Lindsay suffered a lot with the noise and cold, she came back with a banging headache.

18th

Pilates today walked quite a long way as the bus I was on did a detour. I did not know where I was with not knowing Heighington. A nice dog walker pointed me in the right direction and I managed to find the hall for my Pilates session. I missed a bit but soon caught up. My joints hurt but apart from that I did good. Even got a lift home with Jo (the tutor). Thank you Jo.

Angela came round later she is doing well and enjoying her job mostly.

A bit of bad news later-- Paul's Nanna has passed away in her sleep. The one hundred year old lady whose Birthday pictures were on last months blog. She will be missed by a few people.

20th

Age UK busy as usual. No major accidents either. Everyone behaved today as well.
Bit of shopping then home. I have got the children tomorrow, so getting the bedrooms ready for them.

21st

Only two children to stay for the night. Tommy-Lee and Jamie-Lee. Jay-Jay is staying at home this time. Played with Jamie for a lot of the time mostly dolls.

These are the dolls clothes I made for Jamie-Lee for Christmas. The basket I made a few years ago. Note the tiny doll in the basket within the larger basket. I just made her a bed and a blanket. The dolls are 4"-5" high and the tiny one less than an inch.

This little doll is tiny less than two inches high. Jamie said she was cold as she had no clothes. I made her a dress. She then said her feet are cold, so little shoes. Next she said these have no shoes Nanny--all five of them . I said no more, they will have to stay under a blanket. The shoes I made were very fiddly.

After she had gone to bed and settled I had a long chat with Tommy-Lee just about general things. We then played cards I won one game and the next game he slaughtered me, winning 11 hands to two, we play go fish.

22nd

Jamie woke up about eight, after a nine hour sleep. She said she had a good sleep, Tommy also had a good night as well.

I went on the common with Summer and left the children with Paul. He did crumpets for them both. Very cold and frosty today. Lindsay came about four to pick them up. Both were good and well behaved.

23rd

A visit from my friend John in the afternoon, he is busy but doing well and he is happy. He is one of the people I made a Christmas cake for, he said it was very good. When taking it home he hardly got inside his house before he had some, very funny. He was very pleased as last year he had a small cake, this year a lot bigger one.

24th

I have an HERBAL appointment today to see how I am getting on with the drops and things they gave me last time, I said they have not made a lot of difference to me and the sleep stuff has not done anything. I have agreed to carry on a while just to see if things change.

Went to Joy's for a very brief visit, she is doing better now but still in pain with her back, Next week she is going to see a specialist.

One of my tablets has bean stopped without any discussion with me. I have a call later booked to see whats its all about.

Spoke to the Doctor, he said I have bean on it a while about nine years. So I need to have another DEXTA SCAN to see how things are going. After the results we can see if I still need to take them or something else or better still, no tablets.

25th

Pilates again on the bus, but this time no detour. Very cold and frosty. A good session no major problems but quite a bit of pain in my shoulders. Shins hurt a lot today not too sure why, maybe because its cold or just because they want to!!!

Afternoon, doing this blog and tea.

27th

Age UK again very busy today right from 11.30 through to 2pm. We have 22 tables and at no point was there one free for more than a few minutes. Only two waitress's as well so they did a brilliant job keeping all the customers happy.

I had to make two hot chocolate drinks and as I took the co-co powder tub out from the bottom shelf, the marshmallow tub fell forward and a lot fell out, about half a tub full, Nills said that will come out your wages. The customer looked very shocked then we explained that I am a Volunteer and get no wages (we get a meal if we want). The customer laughed and looked relieved.

I left there to do a bit of shopping, wool and MAGNESIUM BATH SALTS I tried this a few years ago and was very HYPERTENSIVE to it, (this was when I was with Wietse the physio, probably around 2008 plus) The HERBALS asked me to try it again as they said it might help the nerves to calm down a bit, and generally relax me. Funny because on the way there last Tuesday I picked up the same packet I got today, and wondered if I should give it another try. Weird or what. I walked around and got the things I needed.

I wonder why I felt so cold I knew the icy wind had got stronger but something was missing. NO not my coat but my scarf. I had left it at Age UK so had to go back for it, quite a way as out the town centre, but its a week till I go again. The scarf means a lot to me as Cilla the lady next door gave me it. A cashmere and silk one so not cheap and very temping to a thief. Scarf picked up and put on home please. A lot warmer now.

I tried the bath salts later and I was fine no bad reaction to them, quite a warm feeling though. Did it help me sleep though???

29th

The answer to sleep is NO but I will keep trying. One night I did sleep over four hours straight, so that's good.

My head is healing quite well now after a very slow start. The pain has mostly stopped too. The cold still causes a bit of pain though, so I pull my hat down and that helps.

Well the end of the another month, the first of 2017. I think this went alright too. Apart from my head .Hopefully this year I will keep away from hospital and more accidents..
